Film Theory: Okay Marvel, It’s Time to PANIC! (Ant Man Quantumania)

marvel feels like my fave subject in school got a new teacher and now it's my least fave class and every assignment (or movie release) feels like genuine homework rather than a fun little project that i can do over one or two weekends.

The MCU just does not feel the same anymore

This is... kinda dumb. Sure, there were rewrites, and maybe Scott was originally gonna get trapped in the quantum realm, but thank god they scrapped that. We've already had Scott temporarily trapped in ant man 1, hope's mum trapped and rescued in ant man 2, and apparently MODOK trapped in ant man 3. Using that plot device again would be truly, hopelessly lazy.

Paul Rudd has been my celebrity crush since he was on Friends. I can’t wait to see this movie.

Im a big fan of MCU but after endgame its downhill from there, but im still hopeful it will be great again i mean i stillwatch them on cinema unlike DC movies which i only watch after i download.

Lately in my opinion the only good movies have been guardians of the galaxy 3 and the Across the spider verse movie. They were written well,One still had a funny touch of adult theme,One had a better storyline the its first movie and they were both good and suspenseful.

I can relate after watching it I found myself unsatisfied by the way it went some of the lines felt out of place and problems that they didn’t talk about later

..... or..... the story of the young avengers don't actually know everything was horrible, and the heroes/adults do know what they are talking about.

Righteous moral judgement of the young and the siding with authority of old is a dividing thing in a world almost broken by the need of the wealthy to subdivide society into smaller and smaller parts to give others a smaller piece of the whole than they had. The plot decision of Scott and Daughter get along the scene of go fetch is a scene explaining who people are divided against themselves by violence and how to recover.

I wanna watch this version of Phase 4 Matpat is talking about. It seems really good.

Besides all the forced woke BS, my major problem with marvel is lack of direction and consistency now. They wanted to use the multiverse but they don't have any consistency between what the multiverse is and contradict each other. Maulers 4 hour breakdown of Doctor strange 2 covers it in more detail than I ever could. On top of that there isn't a building story. First they built up to avengers then moved on to building up Thanos for a grand finale. Now....Who? Kang? he showed up in a show that only hard marvel fans watched, so the average viewer had no idea who he was. And Ant-man 3 which nobody watched because it was horrible. Secret invasion was suppose to be the build up to the next Avengers movie except they made it into a bad show nobody watched.

Ultimately it's all failed because they didn't coordinate at all, they didn't have any direction, and the movies they made were just generic superhero movies with forced woke bs that the average person doesn't care about and is likley tired of.

I was so excited to see this movie but honestly marvel hasn’t been doing great in awhile in my book. To me it boils down to REALLY bad writing all of our newer heroes don’t have much substance to them as characters at all, which is honestly really sad because those characters could be amazing if they went back to the original standard of storytelling they had before.

Found out that the script for any man quantumania was made with ChatGPT as well as most new stuff made by Disney

I dont think the narrative between Cassie and Scott changed, and if it did it wasnt in the way you said. Why would they show that Scott has a book literally about helping the little guy aka oppressed people? Was that added in post too? It wouldnt seem right to show that and have it brought up multiple times if he was just gonna turn his back and side with the oppressor as soon as one showed up

I dont understand everyones problem with MODOK, he looks exactly like he does in the comics. If he didnt everyone would be complaining
