Two cars considered total loss by insurance company. Both drivers only are safe.

ОтветитьI would like to see it in a small overlap crash. Result would be totally different. Euroncap test are easy, it doesnt mean nothing to have 5 stars, it doesnt mean that it is safe on a small overlap crash.

ОтветитьThe barrier that hits the car weighs 1400 kg. What happens when a 1500 kg+ car/SUV is tested? That effectively reduces the difficulty of the test for heavier vehicles. Still no small overlap... Disappointing, seems like the tests have gone backwards in difficulty

Der Frontalaufprall-Barrierewagen wiegt 1400 kg, der Yaris wiegt laut EuroNcap 1175kg inkl. Fahrer.
Jetzt kommt da noch zusätzliches Gewicht hinzu, unter anderem...
- Beifahrer (75kg)
- Kinderdummies (15kg + 30kg = 45kg)
- Kameras, Kabel, Kindersitze und Messinstrumente im Kofferraum zur Datenerfassung der Dummies, etc (Schätzungsweise 80 kg)
Insgesamt 200kg Mehrgewicht und schon wiegt der Yaris 1375 kg.
Ich denke die Masse der MPDB ist zu niedrig ausgelegt.
Die Geschwindigkeit liegt meiner Ansicht nach auch zu niedrig. 56km/h oder 60km/h würden einen
realen Unfall besser simulieren.
Bin schon gespannt wie es aussieht wenn ein oberes Mittelklasse Fahrzeug (zb E-Klasse) Frontal in den Barrierewagen rein rauscht. MPDB 1400kg gegen 1900 kg E-Klasse. Wo liegt denn dort die Aussagekraft zur Beurteilung des erheblich schwereren Fahrzeugs ?
Die Idee zu diesem neuen Frontalcrashtest find eigentlich gut. Zumindest kann man die Homogenität der Frontstruktur der PKWs besser einschätzen.
