Common UN, they did it in Dubai. Why can't you organize the restructuring of the original landmass of this islands????

I hope to visit Kiribati before it disappears forever! Can't stop nature, no matter how hard we try, but each of us can do our part, no matter where we live.

No use waiting for the western governments to help, they have done nothing to provide actual change in the rising sea levels and are now panicking because China is offering to help. Let China come in and help raise the islands or build sea walls etc, the west can only offer useless prayers and hope and little else.

And what will the UN do? NOTHING! So why do you think they are turning to China?

I think if we can shift stones and soil to this island maybe we will save it

This is sad and embarrassing. Sad because this is an easy fix and no one has stepped up to help. Embarrassing because it is the USA job to help people when they need it the most.we have all the equipment sitting idle somewhere not being used. Instead there are “others” out there trying to move these people off the islands so they can turn it into a beach resort…..evil, unless of course they want to give away their land then go for it. It’s up to them, if they want to be a small resort destination, or just keep it the way it is. They will need to find and industry that they can setup and use for income. Maybe a designer coconut juice drink they can export.

Very informative, thank you. I didn't realise that there were 33 islands stretching over 2,000 Km along the equator. Of those there are a handful in Tarawa that are so populated that it is among the highest density in the world. On Betio, 23,000 people living on 1.7 sq miles. Something has to be done to control the over-population. Kiritimati is the largest atoll in the world, a completely deserted part of Kiribati compared to this video. There is no climate change in those other islands either, well no sea level rise.

So climate change caused erosion, did we not have erosion before climate change? Wow climate change you are so real and virile. Perhaps a sea wall would help erosion, but I guess that is not as glamorous or profitable as baking “climate change”

Don't only ask Australia to help you. Let each wealthy country around the world take some 5000 of them as immigrants and abandon this island which you should have not inhabited in the first place....

sea levels don’t rise, only the salary of those, who push this agenda for more control and profit, they were writting articles in 50’s about Maldives being submerged by the rising sea levels, hasn’t happened till this very day. Wake up

I do not think global warming should get any bigger. Listen to the little precious little girl in the video. That little girl asks us to do a favor even though she's working hard. If you study the last 50 years of propaganda the climate change alarmists have been pushing and STILL believe it is man made CO2 causing the end of the world then you might want to get a brain scan. The ice age was coming, then there was a hole in the ozone layer, then it was acid rain, then it was global warming but that wasn't working so to be safe they called it "climate change". This was a safe bet because this will encompass whatever weather changes that occur we can conveniently blame people. We have more plant life on this planet to offset the CO2 we produce. Look at all the predictions that these alarmists made in the past. EVERY SINGLE PREDICTION HAS FAILED!
