Hi!
I’m a Lyft driver in Seattle. My issue is I can’t turn off the direction of the arrow to stop pointing north! Any advice on how to change that?
Thanks!!
Waze ?
Ответитьhow can i put off highway or freeway on Lyft driver app navigation
ОтветитьI'm not a Lyft driver. I just want to use maps and GPS! So frustrating
ОтветитьWould it be possible to do an update video on this subject? There are 3 Nav Options via Lyft Driver App. Many of us would like to see the difference of the 3 and how they work.
ОтветитьI dont know how to find step by step written directions on the lyft app navigation?
ОтветитьGoogle map needs to improve its navigation, it still ask you to make left turns even when road signs prohibit the turn.
ОтветитьWhy can't I hear my gps lady to tell me the directions. I've turned on & off my Bluetooth, media, volume etc..
ОтветитьHow do I update Waze
ОтветитьWill this work with CarPlay on my screen
ОтветитьI have always use the Lyft navigation app but now since it is tweaking and zooming in and out I have no choice but to use Waze or the Google Map. They are pretty cool except for one thing that when I get close to my destination at toggles back over to the Lyft navigation app. The problem is it still shows one minute at the top right-hand corner of which you have to press in order to navigate the neighborhood streets. My recommendation is that before you leave toggle over to your Lyft app hit the whatever minutes is at the top right-hand corner and let that run until go back over to Waze and use that map for overall navigation.
ОтветитьWhy does the lyft app do this, and how can i stop it? When I get within .5 miles of my passenger, the address bar at the top stops showing the address, and shows longitude, and latitude. What am I supposed to do with that? I have no compass!
ОтветитьHow do you avoid toll roads within Lyft Google maps navigation?
ОтветитьI do not have the hale a ride option on google maps that is on my laptop
Ответитьit doesn't show if the road is toll road or not. do you have any heads-up guys ?
ОтветитьSo, is driving for Lyft your full time job?
ОтветитьYou also dont see the name of a business as you get there!
ОтветитьI've been using Waze the past 7 months... I'm going to give the Google Maps a chance today and see what I like best...Great insight, thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video. I concur. I used to swap between Lyft and Waze and holy crap, what a pain that was! Especially when waze wouldn’t open fast and I was in the dark not knowing my next move before the light changed 😂😂
ОтветитьGood 🇨🇦🇺🇸
ОтветитьI agree with you, I like the fact that Lyft put Google Maps together. It is way easier. Uber should figure out to do the same,Their app sucks.
ОтветитьSometimes I zoom in or out using the navigation map (I use Lyft app in Google Maps) to be sure of a turn, etc., and the "re-center" option will not appear....... that makes it extremely difficult to use the GPS portion of the app. Does this happen to anyone else? I guess I should simply refrain from zooming in or out but sometimes it's necessary so I don't miss a turn. Thoughts on this anyone?
ОтветитьToday was my first day with Lyft. The Lyft navigation does not call out directions. Am I the only one that has that problem?
ОтветитьI dont understand why Lyft dont let u see the actual address, city, town??? It would be easier for us.
Ответитьare there verbal direction along with Google?
ОтветитьWHY DOES THE NAVIGATION APP show your car driving DOWN the screen instead of FORWARD to the passenger. This is very very confusing and takes me double the time to reach the customers because now the right becomes the left and visa versa and my car drives DOWN the screen. What the hell? Can we flip this around? And the voice turn by turn is a joke. Sometimes i heard the chick giving me directions other times IT DOESN'T especially when trying to pick up passengers, she is just silent.
ОтветитьWhat about for UBER?
ОтветитьI have an android app project that i want to integrate Lyft map. please how can i integrate it into my project.
ОтветитьI agree, Lyft navigation is a work in progress & will be more effective w/a few more updates. In the meanwhile, I've tried Samsung, LG & IPhone. Google maps is much louder & tells me what lane I need to be in & when to turn or exit, 2 miles or 3 blocks ahead of time, w/followup turn or exit at next turn or exit. Even w/music off, Lyft navigation is bearly audible & doesn't tell me when to turn or exit until just before the corner or exit. Since 4/26 Lyft will not let me go online w/Google map. Are there any alternate ways to use Google Map, Andriod auto & Lyft driver on the same cell?
ОтветитьFor the four years of being with lyft, the amount of changes on the app has been a constant okay that will work for now and the newest update with Google maps has been a life saver. I wish Google Maps knew how apartments complex are numbered and what building numbers to the streets, instead they always send me to the complex office or management office building. Also would like to express that passengers should be able to let their drivers know if they have locked gates or parking areas have a night guard to let them know Hey I will be getting a lyft with the pink mustache on the dash of the car (Nebraska where I am at) and the amp, I was told in late of June 2017 getting the amp soon. So I am still sporting the glostach anyway I digress the other thing I wish the lyft app would have night mode for the UI of the app I have my brightness all the way down at night so the bright white and pink blasting, night mode would be awesome so I don't get light fatigue note to mention if you use a phone with oled screen and have it on all the time with lyft and maps running you will get burned in screen I have samsung S7 Verizon and so I have placed 15 second screen timeout and just hit the home button to wake to make sure I am on the right direction. At least lyft app doesn't have a fit if it not open like some other app I will leave out.
ОтветитьI’ve used the google maps in app for Lyft since I started in December?
ОтветитьIs there a way to see the passenger's actual GPS location with Uber in Google Maps? Besides using Uber Nav.
ОтветитьIs anyone noticing this....Uber/Lyft says passenger is 9 mins away but when Google maps launches it will say 14 mins away. It appears in most cases that Uber/Lyft maybe doing this so that drivers will accept the ride as opposed to seeing the actual time and declining the ride. Anyone experiencing this?
ОтветитьAll well & good. But I still prefer Waze.
ОтветитьThank you for posting this about the new Lyft app experience. It is much better. I love the GPS of the person showing up where the phone actually is. That feature makes this driving experience better than Uber. If the person isn't at the location where the navigation takes you, you can see where the person is. I hope Uber's update includes the real time GPS location of the phone on the map.
ОтветитьOK one very important feature of Google maps has been removed by integrating it into the Lyft App. If you look at the separate Google Navigation app, in the lower right hand corner, there is a small '^' icon. Pressing that up icon exposes a menu that has 6 entries. The important entry is "Directions". The entry gives you directions in list format. Because the integration removes the icon to access that menu, The ability to see your directions in list format is gone!
Why is list format so important?
1) Philadelphia has many blocks of row homes. Google maps seems to think that since the house is physically closer to the alley behind behind the house, than to the street out front, Google will send you to the alley behind the house (same thing happens with stores in strip shopping centers). Because most streets in these neighborhoods are one way, getting to the front door is not easy.
To avoid this problem, I look at the list directions before I start moving the car. If the last turn is "Turn Right", or "Turn Left" (without a street name), I know it could be an alley. When I get close to the destination, I either ask for input from the passenger, or consult my car's GPS, which clearly marks the one way streets. If I need to, I create my own route to the front door.
2) Philadelphia has the notorious "Schuylkill Expressway". It is a major artery into center city, where it Joins the Vine Street Expressway. To get to center City, I need take the ramp to Vine Street. About 25% of the time, I then need to get off at 23rd street, which is about 150 feet past the merge onto the Vine Street expressway.
This involves merging onto the Vine Street (from the left), cutting across several lanes of traffic on a curve, to get onto the 23rd street off ramp (on the far right). Google maps will not warn you of this last second maneuver, until it is too late. About 5 minutes before I reach this trouble spot, I open turn by turn directions. With the list view, I can glance down, and see if "23rd street" in the list, and I can be prepared.
Ho yea I have used the navigation. it is better, but I like using waze because I can see it better. try making the the in app navigation bigger and clear to me unsuccessful
Ответитьguys dont drive either for lyft/uber . its a total waist of time and money and you may end up being loosing your house or your car if you keep driving for those scambag companies such as lyft/uber/doordash/grubhub/postamtes etc.... if there s really any laws those companies they need to shut them down for the way how they pay the drivers. a total waist of everythings
ОтветитьI have been using the Lyft Google map on Android for awhile now. One bug is it doesn't call out navigation via Bluetooth. Just announcement's.
