I didn't mention that, without a mod I use, you can just set the 'Do until X' to 1-2 and then unclick 'Count Equipped' for an even more automated set up. You may want to alter this on maps where you are going to be changing to all Parkas or all Dusters or such at once when seasons change, though, or else you'll only have a single parka laying around when the time comes. Lastly, if you want a little bit more buffer on tatter, you can set slightly above 51% (for instance, something drops below 51% while in combat and the mood debuff hits). - Hope that helps!

As always, let me know if you have a request for another RimWorld video or guide!

Multiple crafting stations of the same type can cause issues with someone starting multiple projects at once. Either make every table dedicated to one person, or have multiple bills on each table set to different people, so one person doesn't start every project and leave the bills occupied. If a pawn starts working a bill, then takes a break before finishing, they only lock up that bill, not the whole table, and an unfinished product can be finished by the same author at a different table, which unreserves that bill on the first table. This isn't too bad with quick things, but the more advanced things at a fabrication bench take a lot of work to make, so leaving them unfinished is more common.

If I get lots of textiles from farming, hunting, or "human resources", I often have a "do forever" order set up last in the building menu, set to use any leather I don't have a need for, and making dusters(best value without DLC), so tailors will get XP when they're not doing something more important.

Rimfeller Oil drilling mod lets you make hyper-weave. A Cataphract helmet a Flax Vest to start. Then pants, duster, and button shirt of hyper-weave. Change out the Cataphract with a Cowboy hat made of whatever for everyday walking around as such your pawns only have to grab the Helmet during raids. Still though on missions a Marine or Cata armor is preferred.

I do equip my melee specialist %83 ish clothes, for the best armor layering and value reduction, 83 ish still combat safe, and profitable to sell, around 60s it crumble in value, and straight trash below 50

I saw this and had to comment about Ideology making this utility nearly useless now. Useless if you want Ideo colors for your garments, or favorite color of colonist on clothing. Unless someone has a nifty work-around. Having used this functionality for years, I started Ideology with a similar mindset. But it didn't take long for colonists to be outfitted with a rainbow of colors different from their favs and ideo. So that little bonus you get for color matching is kinda pointless.

Wouldn't having both craft at 51% and wear at 51% mean they take it off, but it's still at 51% so it still counts as meeting the craft limit so new pants never get made.
Wouldn't it be better to put the craft bill to 52%?

Colonists + 1? Wouldnt it make sense to always have 1 in stock
and to always have the furnace set to destroy anything 55% or less
keeps a solid rotation without un needed and silly stock pile room problems and wealth.
basically everytime they change out of ratty clothes, the old one gets burned, and then you have zero, so +1 is made.

That doesnt work for me. There is no count equipped. The other major problem is that when I set my tailor, who is also my best researcher, to craft he just goes and makes stones all day. He will also make cloths I que, but I need him tailoring and researching. Same thing with the smelter. Which also doesn't have a tainted cloths option, so I have to spend at least a whole day every now and then carefully watching and disallowing everything I want to keep, while also trying to stop every pawn for wherein that tainted flak vest then crying to me about it being tainted. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

You can also just set it to the number of excess pieces of gear you're looking to have and not have it look for equipped and it will always keep the one in inventory there's no need to have it look for all the equipped ponds as well

See, I clicked on this video expecting to not learn anything useful (knowing how to automate to avoid tattered is very useful information, but I knew most of it already.) But I didn't know you could drag the outfit assignments down to quickly copy to everyone else, which is also super useful, so thanks!

There is a way simpler way. Just make a stockpile specific for cloathes that they need tl wear. Just cheack in everything that is needed in the stockpile, set it to highest prio, then you can make Bills make untill one, then just check in that stockpile.
