Ralph was a lot more like book Voldemort in Schindler's List than he was in any of the Harry Potter films. Which makes sense, given the 'Pureblood' rhetoric. I don't blame Ralph for that difference though, it's clear that the producers decided film Voldemort needed to be more theatrical and pantomime villain-esque than the book's terrifying cold seethe. Probably to keep the age ratings lower. Shame though, Ralph has proven himself to be utterly believable as spine-chilling evil.

Just watched The Menu and recently finished all the Harry Potter movies. I did not know he played Voldemort!

I've seen Ralph Fiennes in many films, but I have to say Voldemort was my favorite performance of his, and I'm not particularly fond of the Harry Potter films. Appearances aside, I just didn't SEE him while he was playing that role. I only saw Voldemort. That was as perfect a casing choice as they could have made.

The three people on the sofa are in someway connected to absolute media juggernauts of the new millennium. Ralph Fiennes obviously plays Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter. James Nesbitt was a dwarf in The Hobbit, a prequel to The Lord of the Rings and Tracy Ullman is where The Simpsons first started. All three franchises are as iconic as they come and have made billions on billions in revenue.
