It's so sad to see such natural beautiful environments destroyed by ignorant human indulgence.

When I lived in Bahía, near Pelourinho, I stumbled upon this delicious goodness. Ate 2 cups for breakfast and never felt better.
But açaí consumption is getting out of hand. Just pay the farmers well instead.

So sad we do this all the time. Almost every "exotic superfood" people chug because they're too lazy to institute change in thier lives, is just ripping necessary commodities from other people

What people are supposed to do? Stop eating açai and making the life of people who farm it even worse??😂 you guys probably noticed that the unprocessed açai is cheap because 95% of it is the seed, so of course it will be way more expensive when it reaches cities far away in Brazil or US. Instead of being happy that açai is being farmed instead and less pressure would be put on native plants you guys criticize it? I knew the world was becoming stupid, but not at this level

Typical liberal BS!! Find out that children do some of the work, ignore the fact it's been going on for centuries and is a 'teaching thing' so they can survive as adults. Then tell the world how they should be angry and stop eating it, thereby reducing consumption and hurting the farmers.
Is it any wonder liberals are so hated?

When you listed the health benefits, all but one of them (cognitive function and even then, it may still be connected) are related. So if it helps with blood pressure, don't be surprised if it also helps with weight, and heart disease. You don't have to be a doctor to see that. Thats not to say that it will magically cure you, but anything that helps shouldn't be scoffed at. No one cares about the culture, btw.

Well it's not like they're risking their lives just for export market, they're doing it to feed themselves. I don't see how "true cost" is relevant.

"So-called, "trendy"? Why the attitude? Hardly objective. People work hard all over the world and get little to show for it, including the West This family gets to eat it pure and fresh. Acai is far from so-called, if you knew anything about it. It's great stuff that makes you instantly feel better with polyphenols and minerals. Acai is a super fruit. No contest.

They should make their own plantations, if their parents and the parents before them started making one, they'd have no problem at all, the real reason why these people live like the wage men in Japan, is because they don't modernize or capitalize on resources, they had the ability to at least try to start a small plantation to make it easier, but they don't, also, the reasons the money number sounds so low is because their noney is worth less than ours, in America its literally impossible to buy the minimum amount of food for 1 person at 900 a period. In conclusion, modernization is key, nobody wants to but over-priced barrys from singles tree plants instead of massive plantations, and your money is not equivalent to theirs monetarily.

Edit: yes they have grown their own trees, but they didn't do it right, they need to select better spots, clear out other large plants that will slow growth. And plant in organizing positions to maximize efficiency and growth.

Giving all praise to this team of guru's
for bringing my life back on track when l thought everything was gone, but with the help guidelines I was able to realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you
don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about
246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.

The farmers should work smarter, train monkeys to climb the trees and pick the fruit, like they do in Thailand for harvesting coconuts.

I only buy bags of frozen açai intendant to make juice and do my own smothie bows mixing in the blender still frozen with some bananas and a bit brown suggar, too bad its hard to find quality açai even here in brazil, the bags I find is only what market call "medium açai" wich is 11 to 14% of açai the rest is water, in my state in south Brasil I never found the special bags with more than 14%. But I see a slowy change some produts called here "gourmet" with no artificial colors and no syrup added but most the açai found in markets is problaby what market call "açai fino" or thin açai wich is 8 to 11% açai and the rest is water and a bomb of industrialized stuff to make it look and taste sweeter. probably the good stuff 100% pure no water added pulp wich I only see in classifications table are going to the US and Europe. But market now find a new type of açai called in Bahia juçai wich is extracted by a cousin of Pará's açai plant that grows is south hemisfere all the way down From Bahia to South Brazil and they can even breed each other and new species of palms are coming soom specialy because the palm hearts called here palmito they are very apriciated too but to extract the plant needs to be cutted and the Juçara palm doesn't re grow as the Para's palm but new breeded plants of Juçara now can regrow too and we can have palmito and açai cheaper I hope lol
