In memory of the heroes

My great great great uncle fought as a machine gunner in the Great War, he was a good lad, died on his sisters birthday, was good lad as he died fighting for France and britain and they all in the war held their lines

God bless em all(allies).anyone of them could be my great-grandad.thats why the unknown soldier is so important and still relevant,he's everybody's dad,son,husband,brother.
R.i.p boys,you deserve all the credit that you get.

The world changed forever after this,ww2 may have taken more lives but ww1 shaped the future of wars,and a lot of other things, the world was never the same again

I don't care where these young men came from, friend or foe, they were ALL just young men! Sons, fathers, brothers, husbands, who should've had their whole lives ahead of them! The politicians and generals all stayed safe in their bunkers or miles away, ordering more and more "lambs to the slaughter"! :(

Back in those days, most people were probably God fearing, church attending, good people, but after being caught up in such barbaric circumstances, one of the biggest horrors of war is that it can dehumanize even the most God fearing people, who could switch of their feelings of empathy towards others. Even Nazis went to church with their loving families, after all. :(

All this madness over stupid people that are running this world now, as long as they a happy in there warm beds and full stomachs. GOD help us

World War One changed the world in ways that nobody could have imagined. ... New weapons and technologies were developed and used that led to more destruction than any war had seen in the past.

The sadest part was seeing the soldiers still alive on the ground reaching for help that never came

i had a filipino great grandfather who fought in ww2 in the age of 16 god bless to him i saw him but never had a chance to say hello and even goodbye he was a veteran and he will always be

This war would end the era of regular adventure and replace it will blood and steel to kill and throw young into the grinder of Hell

Humanity will always create better ways to kill, better bombs, stronger soldiers, better weapons but in the end the goal of war will always stay the same, expansion, ideological expansion or religious differences. War... War truly never changes.
