ОтветитьOvertone series rooted in nature, yes. Undertone series natural, like a tree's roots? No.
Ответитьwe are so so so so blessed when they got lost in the music !! SO beautiful
ОтветитьUnfortunately at level 5, the melody is lost and it becomes musical concept built around a chording framework of a song. In my opinion, it then becomes more about the possibilities of the art vs the structure.
ОтветитьThe young mucisian, Jacob Collier, already got five Grammy Awards. Great!
ОтветитьFmaj7 with an E in it. Is the equivalent of saying "I'll have some spaghetti with a bit of spaghetti on it"
ОтветитьEvery one here said amazing things. I can’t add much except that I felt my brain grow.
ОтветитьI love that they don't write expert, but just Herbie Hancock^^
ОтветитьI like how other levels are like College Student, Professional Pianist..and then level 5 is like...Herbie Hancock. lol
ОтветитьFouth in the harmonic series??
ОтветитьIt's so cool they got Biaheza in here
ОтветитьNobody:
College kid: yeah yeah
Jacob has completed music
ОтветитьThese were not really “explanations,” but there’s a reason Beethoven said “never speak about harmony.”
ОтветитьMan looks like Keaneu Reeves
ОтветитьHerbie got some fire galsses fr
ОтветитьI imagine that Herbie and jacob’s conversation was very similar to the conversations Liam and Noel had when composing what’s the story morning glory.
Ответить1- basic harmony
2- triads
3- functional harmony and inversions
4- overtone series
5- jazzmasters talking in a different language
It's like cooking seafood soup.
Ответитьin western world..
Ответить4 levels of difficult and then a chat with a legend. Love the format
ОтветитьI get to "it sounds better" and then i just find myself spinning in Jacob in Wonderland
ОтветитьI love how Jacob turns into the student and a peer with Hancock.
ОтветитьI am so obsessed with these. Please make more music journey videos!
ОтветитьI love hearing professionals talk about their areas of expertise, I understand nothing but what a wonderful treat to see people be so passionate about something the love so much
ОтветитьWhat kind of accent the guy has... lol. He speaks like a blob.😂😂
ОтветитьIf you watch each segment in reverse order, it makes more and more sense 💁🏾♂️
ОтветитьHerbie is so cool!
ОтветитьHoly crap!
The piece at the end was something else!
amazing ❤
ОтветитьOk imma need the name and Instagram of that college student
ОтветитьJacob sounds exactly like Tom Scott
ОтветитьHm. I didn’t think Jacob owned regular-people clothes.
ОтветитьHoly crap, the tension at the end to the nice resolution was fantastic
ОтветитьI like how Herb looked at the low note to finish off the piece then held back to let the young buck have the last note ❤
ОтветитьMe at level 5: ....um yes
ОтветитьWhere is the JAM session
Ответитьthe butter notes are insane though, I'm gonna take that for my own solos!
Ответитьi'm at level 5 yr old here
ОтветитьI come back here everytime i improve as a musician to see how much i improved compared to last time i watched it
Ответить💎
ОтветитьEscalated quickly
ОтветитьHerbie Hancock is the man
