I'm not sure I'd be comfortable holding a kids hand across the street. One second you're helping and the next second their mom wants to prosecute you for being a pedophile. I would be nervous to be alone with a child or to hold their hand while crossing the street. Maybe that's just America, but it's a valid fear.
