Should You Buy The PowKiddy RGB10Max3 Pro?

I brought 1 and love it... especially old school mame...galaga...donkey Kong, galaxian... etc in Tate mode IE .vertical play..👍🏻
Dreamcast ,psp plays flawless and n64 PS2..full screen not 4:3 for me...£130 with SD card I'm happy gamer

Seems like this is basically a rehash of the Hardkernel ODROID Go Ultra, right down to the chipset and weird broken functionality. I hope it gets fixed someday. The D-pad centric OS design and bigger screen are just what I want.

Mine arrived today and doesnt work, i initially attempted to cancel my order but they claimed it was posted already, id be very careful with powkiddy. No doubt ill have to fight for a refund/replacement...

Although, what do you recommend for an out of the box system that runs ps2 and original xbox? Something i do t need to mess with other than to load up games.

I really like my powkiddy x55. Too bad they made it less ergonomic. The side by side shoulder buttons is weird. The x55 was great shape strange they got rid of that. I do like the OS on the powkiddies.

For someone who just wants a quick fix of PS2 PES6, this device (with the proper tweaks) is your bang for the buck.

One important thing you need to do on ps2 games as I showed on my videos , on emulator need to change graphics settings- rendering to vulcan and second emulation settings- ee cycle skipping to maximum underclock then ratchet and clank is going on 60fps and many other ps2 games runing smooth , ive checked 40 ps2 games and even GOW is smooth , your welcome

Is the Powkiddy RGB30 more powerful than a Miiyo Mini Plus? How do i know which PS1/N64 may run on the RGB 30?

They advertised these devices that they play ps1 ps2 and psp and only preload like 3 games. I want more game in those console nes snes and genesis they dont take alot of space and i dont play even 5% of the library. And yet finding a website with roms that arent virus is hard. Ppl like you know where to go and download but for ppl like me that have no clue and just go into website full of virus is hell.

The issue with most of those older games is that they're difficult, if not impossible, to find copies. And if they exist, they won't be cheap. Plus, how would you even extract roms from cartridges??

ALL that space alon the sides and bottom of the device and they decided to "retroid pocket 2" the device and make a shorter screen and add buttons below it. RG405m THAT'S how you position a screen! Also, I feel like they were going to add a second SD card slot between the HDMI and USB-C but then decided to go Android and opted out of the idea.
Wow! If you're not going to include WIFI or a touchscreen, why go with an Android OS?? =/
Good review, hard pass for me, my next handheld has to have solid Game Cube and PS2 emulation for less than $150. =)

This completely looks like a downgrade from the max 2, let alone compared to the retroid pocket 3+.

The stupid embarrassing brand name is the deal killer. Otherwise I'd buy their stuff since they have the proper PlayStation style analog stick layout

You don't get to use the word "PRO" if your device doesn't have Wifi or Bluetooth and you have problems getting the Hdmi to work

I got one for about 92 dlls with free shipping and for that price theres nothing better, not even the S2 with the 3.5 inch screen

This handheld looks like a variant of the RGB30 when it comes to design.

Powkiddy has good ideas, good specs, even good design, but it's the lack of quality that makes it a deal breaker.
I would 100% buy the V90, but it just feels like a toy and not something worth anything like an anbernic device is.

I would buy the Retroid Pocket 3+ over this BUT I really don't like Android as an emulation frontend (tried all the apps like Pegasus, Dig, Dajisho etc). I much prefer a Linux (EmulationStation, Jelos etc) experience.

Screen looks a little dark to me … but I don’t know what settings you had / have … Mega Drive Vectorman 2 is a good test!

For those of us who like simplicity, its cool that they add 1-3 roms of late systems with big games and ill explain why... #1 those games take up a lot of space so adding a bunch that I wont play does nothing but eat up what little memory I have, id rather drag and drop my own roms into the rom folder and play... which leads me to #2. The fact that they do have 1-3 games loaded shows that they configured the system for me and all I have to do is add games and play. No bios, no setup everything is done for me aside from rom in rom folder and enjoy. I like that.

With smaller systems, sure, add all the games, they hardly take up any space, but with later games, ill add the files I want and save space... but I do want tgose emulators set up so I dont have to configure anything. This is something you dont get on Android. You have to do all that work yourself. I want plug and play as much as possible.

For those of us who are not tinkerers and who want plug and play, Linux with JELOS is the way to go. Android is a massive headache for people who love messing with, figuring out and tinkering with computers. I want to turn on my device and play games. I dont have time for that other garbage.

It’s a no brainer to get the retroid pocket 2s (with 4 gigs ram and 128gb) instead of this with a better processor and android based.

I like Batocera Linux a lot better than android but this handheld misses the mark
