Amazing and Hilarious! Rambo! Sega's Hidden Gem Arcade Light Gun MASTERPIECE!

How the hell did I miss this video?! I've been boring friends for years going on about how great this game is. Made by Takashi Oda, the guy who made all the HotD games, including Scarlet Dawn. This is the perfect match of movie a gameplay. Sega really nailed the set pieces, pacing and gun feedback. More than most games the sound fx really kick. Pacing an arcade game like this is really difficult, so many fall short, but this is top tier. I'd put it in my top 5 lightgun games.

Where do I get this game?

Does anyone know how to possibly set this up to run on the latest teknoparrot? I get it to boot but it doesn’t initialize. Just crashes and goes back to tekno library games

When the SUCCESS popped up after the chopper explodes I laughed out loud. When the rap music kicked in I freaking died.

what are you playing this through, the Mister or the PC? How would you set up the light gun to play it and did you use a CRT or pvm??

Sega were kings in the arcade.

There was an arcade close to me that had Super Scope, Time Crisis 4, Aliens: Armageddon, Ghost Squad, Virtua Cop 2 and 3, Terminator 2 and this all in a row. Damn it was a good place.

This is certainly more entertaining than that fucking Rambo game from 2014. Then again, having the tip of your penis stuck on a frozen pole is better than playing that.

Anything with Stallone is A-Okay with me bro. I use to love reading stories about his dog Butkus and how he had to sell him just to live during the 1970's. Interestingly, the turtles Cuff and Link from Rocky I and II are still alive and in his home. 8^)

This looks BONKERS. I love Sega when they're at their absolute craziest, I am legit looking right now to see if there's one in the NYC area so I can play it lol

IT's great but its sad they did not make an over the top violence game, like all the movies are. It would have been great.

It's funny when I played this in the arcade I thought it was terrible. Remember at the time someone on Arcade Otaku saying Sega were outsourcing to Chinese developers at the time. Looking on Sega Retro it seems there's a fair few staff on it although Polygon Magic had a bit of a hand in it anyway maybe they subcontract themselves.

Anyway I maintain this, Hummer and R-Tuned signaled the point where Sega lost the plot (or budget) arcade game wise. They still do cool stuff for Japan but that's about it.

It's the intro that does it for me. How many times is "Rambo" said? Lol

Looks fun, I just started using Teknoparrot about a week or so ago and so I'm looking for interesting stuff to try and this seems to fit the bill nicely, I've tried the Mario Kart, Batman Arcade racer and Contra Evolution HD and I've enjoyed those so far, some games like SF IV and Tekken 7 and a few others that are supported I find would just find redundant as I own them already elsewhere, any other recommendations?

This looks amazing! I can't believe I never knew about this. I do have Rambo the Video Game for PS3, and it's the opposite (it takes itself too seriously). Also gets a lot of hate, but I do enjoy it (w/Move Controllers and SharpShooter), but man this Sega version looks incredible. Would be great on PS3 w/Move. My PC setup isn't great, but hope to get to play this in the future. Thanks for sharing!

This is amazing!!! I would love to play this but I’ve never come across it in the wild. Edit: These movies are the all time greatest. People wonder why I refuse to watch the crap the Hollywood is pumping out these days. HA!, the 80’s and 90’s had the greatest movies ever.
