back when apple was competitive, sure you'd still build/buy a gaming PC but you could use your mac for pretty much ANY OTHER TASK at a professional level. Now it just doesn't matter what OS you use as long as you have access to the tools these days.

-dll hell -> still exists
-activation -> still the most annoying shit
-start menu -> got even worse (yes, thats possible)
-registery -> still the same
the file explorer didnt improve at all and still is far behind finder, but hey, it got tabs, ~10 years after the Finder

So dumb... then the next thing he makes fun of Vista for supposedly copying the search functionality... as if that wasn't the next obvious step in both mac and windows.. by this time google already had instant search facepalm Then they brag about safari for functionality that was available in ff in 2005 and nobody really cared about RSS anyway.. Then the logo "Underneath it all.. it's still windows" as if that's bad... for shits and giggles the next time MS did exactly that logo with windows 7..

Frankly Vista’s aero-glass interface is so futuristic that made OS X Tiger looks so dated.

I think apples modern approach of just pretending they are the only company is better. Don't get me wrong, I think it's pretty fun to see them poke fun, but to me it's always come off as a little corny and I think the products really speak for themselves anyways.

I recently watched an interview where Jobs was asked about Rim and he told the journalist to ask Rim themselves, yet, here he is spending time talking about the competition when he, and the consumer, would be better served if he talked about Apple's own services and products.
