GOOD JOB DEAR
ОтветитьAlso online training is great for introverts… they don’t have to engage too deeply in the discussions and conversations. Can keep it surface level with everybody. No unnecessary closeness and icky fake friendships.
Ответитьi enjoyed my online 200hr. 1hr on demand taught class every day. 2 facebook lives per week. 1 zoom talk per week. large manual with quiz every section. written exam 40 questions. test your teaching by teaching peer classes. filmed final exam with real students a couple of weeks after lockdown. course certified with yoga alliance professionals UK and yoga alliance USA. very much enjoyed it the trainers were very supportive. your yoga flow Canada. in the daily class i felt a shift from being a student to thinking like a teacher and in some ways i feel that ruined my practice but slowly ive rebuilt my own practice 5am to 7am everyday. i teach 2 classes per week and still take 1 public class with my first teacher. best job ive ever had. 10 people who say thankyou after 1 hour. i spent 35 years paying other peoples mortgage off and having to thank them for the job. Just check with your professional body the online teacher training course has been certified. I went with Yoga Alliance Professionals YAP. but they are getting sniffy about online training again after lockdown. Note for 25 quid you sign up as a trainee teacher with YAP giving you 6million quid insurance cover to teach 2 hrs a week while still training. Get that village hall booked and start teaching to relatives and friends it really helps get rid of the nerves and once certified the insurance is about 100 pound per week plus pro training and business clinics.
ОтветитьThis is so helpful! Thank you. I have been looking at House of Om Online course (as I can't go out to Bali), has anyone here done theirs at House of Om online?
ОтветитьThis question could indeed be incorporated within training, perhaps?
At least, if nothing else, just to touch on cultural appropriation of ‘Yoga’ and explore this.
Very deep and rich enquiry to bring into our yoga practices.
My first thoughts on this were ‘intention’.
Next - origins and meaning of yoga.
Recuperation comes to mind - how something authentic is taken and sold back to us in it’s shadow form. I comprehend this to mean - the life taken out of it.
I have said for years that in the west we eat this beautiful fruit and as the sweet, juices trickle down our chins, we enjoy this consumption.
The problem being that the seed (bija) has been taken out of the fruit.
So, if our intention is to honour this traditional Indian system (India does not have a monopoly on what we call ‘yoga’ but much of what we draw from comes from a system created within India) and we make every effort to truly learn the traditional practices of yoga, deepening our knowledge, are we then
Culturally appropriating this Indian System of Yoga?
Just this one question deserves a 200 hour course. If we don’t want to join the long western cultural line of ‘I want one - consumerism’.
Hopefully even those of us who start off on the wrong foot - guided by the US Well Being Industry - with patience, study, practice and time we can change our step.
Om Namah Shivai 🙏🏽
This makes me SOOO happy with the training school I went to. I got so much more than what you said was missing. It took lots of research to find a school I jived with but I'm so glad I did it. My instructors were awesome.

ОтветитьThank you for this. Great video, you've made it very interesting and covered a huge base.
ОтветитьI want learn everything about yoga but not necessarily want to be a teacher… What’s your advice on how to do this please? 🌞
ОтветитьI don’t know why you’re not as popular as you should be 🙏💙 I’m sure you have quality over quantity subscribers anyway 💯👌
ОтветитьCultural appropriation? Isn't the entirety of yoga in the west appropriated? We can't really do much about it.
ОтветитьThank you Liv! You made me realize that I want to do an offline training and also a bit down the line, when I'm more consistent with my own practice.
ОтветитьLiked your video 👍🏼
