Point Cloud Processing with Open3D: A Beginner's Guide to Getting Started

Hello Nicolai, I'm Mechanical Engineer and I have a project. I need to import 3D Data to Machine Learning Model, Is it possible to identify the 3d data in the python Era to analyze the specs such as dimension, thickness etc. ?

I am working on stereo camera depth estimation. However, for particular purpose, I need to use two camera with different FOV and focal length.

After a lot of Google research, I know that I can still calibrate the two camera and rectify them to generate disparity map, but I have no idea how to convert disparity map to depth because their focal length is different.

I have a problem that the point cloud lately always visualized in phong colors in open3d? I couldn't return it to real colors with the shortcuts?

I dont have open_3d_tutorial. Is it a Notebook or folder need to get from github ?

can i convert this point cloud into an occupancy grid? i want to visually display the 2d occupancy grid map like a top view of the point cloud to use for path planning
