"I turned hotspot on but Its not on my wifi connection list what do i do?"
1: make sure you dont have the hotspot HIDDEN! if you do, you wont be able to find it on your wifi
2: if your concerned about it on your phone wifi connection list, dont. Remember its for other devices. They use your mobile data. Its cool that other devices share your mobile network. But be warned that it may not be friendly to your data plan on your phone.
"How does hotspot work?"
Well its complicated. Well let me explain anyways. You know your phone has a mobile network right? Well did anyone tell you that its shareable? It is through hotspot! With hotspot, your able to connect other devices with your mobile data. However that means that your phone data plan will be used up.
"I turned hotspot on and the network not even in the list on my mobile device, why is that?"
Of course its unfair that it doesnt activate wifi on your phone. However theirs a very good reason for that, the hotspot uses the internet source from your mobile data and since thats the case, your phone cannot put itself in wifi mode as that is the source.

When using my S8 as a mobile hotspot it shows up as a S6. What could cause this?

Sir mera hotspot connect nhi hota jese aapke phone me USB wala options hai wese hi mere phone me hotspot ka hai wo open hi nhi hota hai
