Missing Fardh roza is a major sin in Islam, and everyone has free will can do whatever they want.

Even missing roza for international cricket is not permissible in Islam and there are religious evidence (hadith) about it. It's not just an opinion.

If you've missed roza by your own, you should not be furious on scholars for saying the right thing.

And finally, Treat a sport like a sport, not like a War.
