Hey Drew! Good to “see you”.
Always time for more tips and tricks
Genius.
ОтветитьMan those window and skylight covers towards the end were awesome 😎
Great video! Are you still using the same bean trailer??
Some good ideas
ОтветитьGood tips. I added some additional reflective to our square drop. I believe you can save some money with the Dometic faucet hack. I “hacked” a Reliant water can by adding a faucet from Amazon for those water jugs you get at the store. So far, so good.
ОтветитьGreat ideas! I’d need to get rid of a lot of shoes to get down to 3 pairs😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThank you, Drew, for showing us all these great tips! I liked the sun shades, the reflective tape and the butcher block over the stove. And the ice machine! People are so creative 🩷
ОтветитьIt looked like you were at James Robb SP Island Acres near Grand Junction!?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing a great collection of creative ideas, Drew. It's a wonderful reminder of how resourceful and helpful the small trailer community can be.
ОтветитьI love all these wonderful lovely clever people and their amazing cool hacks !!! THANK YOU!
Ответитьtip 1 - well thats my emergancy baggy. I keep a small stash of - 3 in 1 coffee, 3 in 1 tea, cup a soup, bullion cubes, and a little esbit stove and tablets (tripple bagged). For emergencies. i can just make myself something warm to drink in a pinch.
5- custom mudroom. japanese "floor furnature" rather then "just a bed" you can have a folding sofa for example, recliner, and futon sleep.
Now mentioned before, rather then having a full galley, you can often make due with 1 or 2 small butane burners... BUT if you really want fun, rather then a microwave, you can get Propane Air Fryers. These can be used off grid... paired with the small burners you can now do full meals. baked goods, and real cooking.
Great info once again; thanks!
ОтветитьGreat tips - clever and useful. Thanks for the video. (Hello Scott!)
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьNice little montage of DIY stuff
ОтветитьThanks for putting a smile on my face this morning, Drew.
ОтветитьI know these tips for small campers. However these are great tips for any RV
ОтветитьSee…all that crafting is quite useful.
ОтветитьExcellent video tips!
ОтветитьDefinitely nifty ideas here.
My favorite was the cut to size windshield cover using velcro tape to keep the windows covered and reflect heat. I never thought of that. I like the growler, but 32 oz is too small 😅
I didn’t see the custom cutting board over the sink - can you list link please ? Thanks
ОтветитьI have a "Leanord stash." I also take two or three napkins as well. They fit in a .99 pencil box and are very handy. I also have a tip for those who use a portable toilet. Unscrewing the cap is very difficult as I have a previous hand injury. I now use a rubber oil filter remover and with minimal effort, the cap comes loose in a second.
ОтветитьI used to freeze all the meat going into my cooler. Also, I would freeze gallons of water bought at the grocery store. One gallon would hold cold a huge cooler for several days without the soggy mess. Cold drinking water and clean cooking water as it melted were a bonus.
ОтветитьYou had me with the Yogi tea.
ОтветитьSomething most people are unaware of is that the REAL purpose of the stove hood is to catch unruly flames in case a flare up like a grease fire happens. Of course it's nice to use for sucking fumes out too but the main purpose is safety. Have you ever been to a vintage trailer rally?
ОтветитьGreat video with wonderful tips! Mandy and Kendrick are great NuCamp ambasssdors ❤
ОтветитьThank you this great video. 😁😘🫠🫠😁😘😘😄😆😄😘😆😁😘😆😉😜😆😉😆🤪😉😆🤪🤪😉😆🤪😉😆😉😆🤪😆🤪😉😜😆🫠😁😄😘😃😁😘😁😜🫠😁😜🫠😁😜🫠😜🫠😁😁😜🫠🫠😜😁 yr yry fu fuf
ОтветитьI'm going to my first Mandy/Kendrick nuCamp rally in April and can't wait! I am just shy of my first full year as an RV owner (2024 T@B 320-CSS_S) and this first year has been so much fun! The learning curve has definitely flattened but it's always fun to learn new tips and tricks.
ОтветитьI camp shoulder season a lot. So my floor can be a little cool to walk on. I got the floor, foam ,puzzle pieces from the dollar store to make a small layer of insulation. Then covered them with Ikea small throw rugs. Easy to pack up on moving day, check for moisture and leaks plus easy to clean. My wet bath floor is cold too, so I got a small carpet that fit perfect to keep my feet warm and keep the shower floor from being damaged. At the dollar store I found small , I mean small, containers to store spices in and are easy to refill. I have a wall when you enter to the left that is wood, my daughter helped me install at the top of the wall a drawer pull that matches the rest and I got hooks from Ikea so I can hang up the days jackets.
ОтветитьDrew another great video!! My daughter bought me a similar ice maker and it is indeed a game changer. I like things that do double or triple duty, and while I have a Alpicool fridge, having the ice maker as backup is great, and I can just use ice in drinks freeing space in the fridge by not having drinks in there. Also the ice maker is useful at home as well.
ОтветитьAnother great video! Drew, I’m picking up my Bean in two hours! Any advice?
ОтветитьYou know, something hit me. If you are alone in a teardrop.... this opens a whole new world. Get rid of the mattress. Put in a Japanese floor recliner. Japanese table, maybe a futon. Little cupid butane heater, butane stove, you could sit sleep, cook, watch movies, what ever. You have so much space
ОтветитьGreat video, fun memories of the Rally. It was a pleasure to meet you, Drew, after years of watching your channel. You have a great ability to connect with everyone. Super friendly, very attentive.
ОтветитьThank you, Drew, for featuring Ember the Log Camper! It's great to see fellow nüCamp friends sharing their tips and tricks. Looking forward to seeing you at another Mandy & Kendrick rally!
ОтветитьWe are a family of 5 on a 38 ft boat which when you minus the space for the engine and cockpit its closer to 28 that tapers to a point lol Anyway its definitely tiny living and after 3 years we figured our lots of tricks to improve comfort. One item we carry is a garden sprayer. Yes a garden sprayer is used as a shower and doubles for other cleaning chores such as rinsing off salt water or sand. Leaving the garden sprayer out in the sun gives you a warm pressurized evening shower or a way to rinse mud from shoes before tracking through your home lol Best wishes out there, hope this helps someone.
ОтветитьSmart ideas
ОтветитьI need to do the condiments hack cause im always forgetting the ketchup. 😊
ОтветитьMy tips:
-To keep toilet from filling fast, and to be able to use any type of TP, I don't flush tp. I attach a dog poo bag to the toilet roll and place in that. When full, tie off and take to outside garbage.
I take over the door shoe hangers and cut to size. I have a long narrow one at entrance for shoes; I have about four on opposite side for things you need fast like bug dope, sun screen, bbq lighter, etc; I have a long one that I hang down in bathroom for quick essentials like sanitary pads, etc (could put facecloths in, too); can also cut 2 together and place by bed as a "bedside table" for glasses, water, phone, tissue, etc).
-in the closet I use and over the rod shoe shelf to use for other things: rolled towels, cold weather hats and mitts, wasp traps, etc.
-in some areas, I have velcroed down plastic shelves or baskets to hold stuff
-at the edge of the counter, I had a friend make a fold down counter extension.
Next on list, a fold out shower rod, so that the shower curtain doesn't stick to you in the tiny tub/shower.
