Jon Bernthal was such a dedicated actor in this scene, he actually became a walker and startled Rick. Truly incredible acting.

If they ever do a walking dead movie I hope it has rick darly negan michonne and the rest merle shane and Glenn for flashbacks or just dreams they have

They say rick became shane i say shane wanted to be rick and knowing what i know about survival shane was trying to undermined rick and wanted his family he even underestimated rick and so much as a disagreement in the apocalypse can lead to certain death and shane knew that and constantly chose conflict which u see how that ended rick was above shane and shane pushed rick to killing him just like the rest of the world and rick still said it didnt have to be that way

This scene is honestly so heartbreaking if you believe its only a hallucination. Despite sleeping with Shane sleeping with Rick's wife and trying to kill him to have her, deep down in possibly the most core part of himself Rick wishes he could just joke about the whole thing with Shane. Really makes you think how different things would have been is Shane didn't force Rick's to use that knife

Shane was the best and he was trying to get the other idiots of the group to listen to reason and prove a point wich one force example he made when he opened Hershel’s barn so they could stop wasting time looking for Sophia. The dude may ha s been wrong for fucking with ricks wife but he was never wrong for survival on the apocalypse. He was way ahead and caught on to shit that the other group didnt see . He’s the big reason and a huge influence on rick to have changed finally and force him to not be the good guy so called officer friendly no more . People fail to see and understand Shane overall and why do you think loris was one of the most hated characters? Because she would keep stirring the pot and keep saying dumb shit back and forth with Shane to get him going again when Shane was trying to keep his cool when things were okay . Rick and Shane would have been unstoppable in the later seasons. Once Shane died all hell broke lose on the show with villains of there groups coming along up against rick . Rick became Shane and a badass if it wasn’t for Shane getting on his ass about how to handle things with other strangers out there and shit . Pisses me off that people wanna hate on Shane so much when they love characters like negan to death or rick as it rick hasn’t showed a shit ton of similarities to Shane’s character in later seasons . Shane was the smart experienced survivalist tough badass of the group . Rick and Shane were the only two former cops left that we knew on the show together . Shane should have just left the show in season 2 with Andrea like he was going to at the time and came back in season 4 mid season finale to kill the governor from almost choking out rick instead of it being michonne killing the governor . Shane could have came back right then and there to reunite with rick and the group and be a changed person in terms of not trying to hurt Rick after getting the fuck over Lori . Shane had alot of potential on the show definitely and sucked to see him die especially by one of his own brothers . Wich Shane preety much was trying to tough rick up to learning how to make the hard decisions in that new world with strangers trust and that was why even Shane was crazy enough to tell Rick to point his gun back at him . If Shane wanted Rick dead that badly he would have killed him. It’s like he knew he had a obsession over ricks wife and he knew he didn’t actually wanna go through with killing rick so he just made his little speech to rick and let rick kill ‘em . Rick has hallucinated Shane than any other character on the show throughout his journey i guarantee you . And they both have so many similar parallels and foreshadowings . When Shane with the group first came to Hershel’s farm all hell broke lose after Shane acting out ti have Hershel’s people wanting him gone as the same with rick in later seasons , ever since rick and the group came to Alexandria all hell broke lose cause of rick acting out to then have the people of Alexandria wanting rick gone . The moment even when rick first met Jessie he immediately knew he wanted her and even kissed her on the face when he knew Jessie was married before even finding out Jessie had an abusive husband anyways. People like you fail to see similarities like that with beloved characters like rick and want just just fully hate Shane wich is ridiculous . Other random people of the show could easily come across rick like another so called anoyying Shane with waving there gun at everyone’s face yelling for authority. 😂😂

Besides the cliffhanger ending (in terms of ricks presence), this episode was definitely one of the best and it left such an impact on me

I feel like Shane lowkey just lost his mind because of how fast he adapted to the apocalypse combined with his inability to get over lori since he probably struggled with issues like that since before the apocalypse
