Nintendo Switch M92T36 Chip Removal

Do you think this removal would be possible without hot air ? Just some flux, solder and soldering iron

How did you test to see if the chip was working or not? I'm trying to test mine, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I replaced my c-port and tested the chip, it has the same charge on most of the sides as the charge coming from the c-port. Should it be the same charge on all the sides? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Does the chip number matter? Like is there a specific kind for different switches that you have to replace it with?

does it still work in handheld mode while the chip is fried or is it just bricked?

QFN chip not a BGA. BGA Chips have balls. Ball grid array.

Were there any shorted out capacitors around this chip or other chips?

hey so my switch doesnt power on at all and i think this might be the repair i have to do to get the machine working again. however when i plug it in on my dock the light blinks once and doesnt blink at all afterwards. i would love to troubleshoot this switch see what could be done to save it and learn more about surface mounted chip repair.
