Absolutely gruesome battle: so many casualties. Horrific. Excellent documentary, it really puts things in perspective and shows how soldiers on both sides are destituted of any humanit other than the survival instinct.

At Yalta, not only Eastern Germany, but all of Eastern Europe was ceded to the USSR.

Everyone talks about Soviet snd Russian brutality against German civilians but it was nothing compared to Stalingrad, Leningrad or Sevastopol(Crimea), I'm not saying German civilians deserved it, but soviet atrocities were minute compared to what the German ls did..

Saw another video that showed East Germany in 1959 looking like the war just ended meanwhile in West Germany the economy was booming. Looked like the Soviets had no hurry in fixing the infrastructure even after 14 years.
