So there is more - meanwhile the idea that mankind came out of Africa is old news. Man emerged in various places. Neanderthal for instance did not come out of Africa. Neither did those who came after them and against prior thought did mate with them and resulted in the white race of today. Who has an interest in still claiming that whites came from blacks? I am not a racist, so I do not care so much. I do however care for facts and truth as far as they can be found.

Hi there. I love your programs. Sometimes experts may not know the entire field.... As far as Columbus was trying to get to India.... that seems quite likely to not have been the truth of it, though perhaps the official story for the reason that people believed a strange shape to the Earth. But Columbus had met with an Irishman (forgive me if he was a Scotsman, but if I remember right he was irish) who had actually sailed to the "New World". The Spanish Crown was most interested in sources of silver and gold. Columbus very likely knew where he was going... it was not India. Remember that it is not in dispute that the Vikings had already been on the American Continent quite a while before that.

She totally bypassed the question how and why Buddhism disappeared from India. I wonder why. The Hindus drove them away. India is the birthplace of Buddha. Why has Buddhism been sidelined here while South east Asia embraced it.?

Call a professor from Preventive and Social Medicine: Preventive and Social Medicine (PSM) is a newly introduced division of medical science, which focuses on the measures taken to prevent various communicable and non-communicable diseases, more than finding a cure for them, and promoting health in the society. And also what is the social status and problems in India.

This is a great podcast. Here is an intellectual who unlike the other pretend historians who have been guests and presented history as it suited their biases, here it was as it happened. The final question of the effect of geopolitics was a succinct one that instead of being expanded on, Ranveer chose to make political about the rich and powerful etc. History is a progression of occurrences as Anica has explained in this podcast and as long as it happened, it's occurrence can't be lied about or misrepresented only garnished to lessen or greaten the impact, but separating the wheat from the chaff is part of life and where expertise comes in. So this fancy of needing to correct history is a nonsense but having to discover unfound truths is the historical need of the hour.

Ranveer - i don’t want to set up a Indian supremacy but here are a few questions that you would like to ask her.
As per her are puranas, Upanishads, vedas facts or they are theories and what does archaeological dept thinks of as proofs?? I would be interested in having a debate between her and Abhijit Chavda and Praveen Mohan .. because she sounds like the Wikipedia or as per her secondary evidence based archaeologist.
Ask her how the calculations of speed of light and time etc so accurate in our ancient history even tthe theories of psychology about ID ego and superego.. by sigmund Freud..and hence she sounds so like foreigner archaeologist who who never gave a substantial proof but are quashing every existential proofs of our history.. she is so contradictory without any concrete proof.. she was sounding all book wormish Archeologist. Sorry I don’t want to be condescending but she is very very contradictory and bookish ..

What Ms Mann talked about ROI for philanthrophy and CSR is the reality. Being in Environment and conservation sector has taught me that all this is mostly done for ROI, which could be PR or increasing their chances of attracting investors or increasing the ESG scores.
Hoping to see more investments in Archeology and Environmental Conservation.

@BeerBiceps!
Hey! Anica Mann and Ranveer!
I am a Biology graduate. I have continued the study of the subject even after my graduation. This is my conclusion:
The Human Genome has been in existence on this planet since the first Unicellar Organisms appeared.
Our ancestors may have resembled other species, even interbred with them (and produced infertile offspring). But irrespective of their resemblance to other species (even monkeys and apes), they were Human. Finally, they evolved into the Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
Yes. We survived several Mass Extinctions. I think during the last Mass Extinction (65m Years Ago), our ancestors may have actually resembled some kind of small rodents that adapted to the changed environmental conditions.
Bear in mind: Survival of the Fittest is not the strongest, but the Most Adaptable.
