How many watts is your laser?
ОтветитьThanks for this informative video! It is quite inspiring...
ОтветитьAny tip my writing is literally lasering on top of its self ? 😩
ОтветитьExcellent presentation, Thank you for the clear demonstration, please my challenge is setting the focus right within the diameter of Tumbler..... I just need set up parameters. I am new to engraving on mugs and tumblers. Thank you
Ответитьawesome video. I just started using the XTool D1 laser engraver. So far it has been an pretty good experience. Where did you buy your laser engraver? I think as my side hustle grows I might be interested in taking the plunge into something like yours.
ОтветитьExcellent Video! Looking around at various Co2 laser options, very impressed with setup you are using in the video. Would be very interested to learn more about unit you are using and your own thoughts having used it for some time. Great information, much appreciate!
Ответитьnice we have a 130 watt omtech in shop but im looking at a monport100 watt laser cutter and getting the y axis your vidoe is great im a newbee the omtech is a budy of mine im still learning my shopsabre 23
ОтветитьNice video. Appreciate the useful tips and your process. I recently just tried my first rotary with these same tumblers and am having difficulty leveling the product with the sculpfun rotary. Need a good proof to land a potential customer
ОтветитьVery nice video
once you have the rotary set up, how long does it take to do a tumbler?
Good info.....Your machine has removable legs. Is it possible to disassemble the models without legs to get them through a door?
What is your maximum workpiece height? Considering buying a 2028 60 or 80w
Great video...I like your approach to instructing. Thanks.
ОтветитьHow long does it take to do each tumbler???
ОтветитьCould you mention the wattage of laser you are using, and if engraving stainless steel tumblers what marking spray and speed, power and scan gap settings for those tumblers as well
ОтветитьLooking at Rotoboss, and PIBURN LASER ROTARY ATTACHMENT 4.0. These are the only two I have come across that offer more flexibility when you need to engrave certain glassware, bottles.
ОтветитьDude, awesome video. Answered so many questions!
ОтветитьAre you able to engrave glass such as pint beer mugs?
Ответитьhello
ОтветитьI have a rotor boss also having issue with coffee mugs. Any help would be appreciated
ОтветитьI have a rotor boss also and having problems with doing coffee mugs. I would appreciate any help
ОтветитьNew subscriber. I have mine coming in May. Can not wait. Cheers from Indiana
ОтветитьHi Mark,
some constructive criticism here i hope you'll find useful as you usually aim for high production quality: Using what i assume is Auto-Gain on your recording device for Audio mostly creates some very irritating jumps in volume. A segment may start intensely loud and limited and then decline a good chunk until your voice is barely audible. This has been more obvious over the last year or so, i know it's kind of a safety/convenience thing but still a small advice: Rather set the gain to a lower, all-purpose setting with a simple overload protection/limiter and increase the volume & reduce your dynamics later - which will give you a consistent loudness over the duration of the entire video.
Great video in itself as always! Greetings =)
Great video, have you though of adding switchable magnetic clamps to the to rotary unit so you can secure it to the bed?
ОтветитьIs there a reason you used a raster image instead of a vector image?
ОтветитьIf you really want to impress me, you'll spin the tumbler by hand under the laser. Kids these days have machines doing everything for them!
ОтветитьThat’s a pretty slick rotary tool! I have a chuck style for mine which is decent but that offset leveling feature rocks!
ОтветитьGreat Video, what wattage laser is that?
ОтветитьWell done.
ОтветитьWow, now I want a rotary! Thank you for the explanation and tutorial Mark!
ОтветитьGreat video. Very informative.
ОтветитьSo cool! That rotary is awesome!
ОтветитьHow to use this and cnc as tools in your/mine workflow in the shop.
ОтветитьI'm really interested in this topic. Great job explaining everything! I'm in the middle of building my own laser cutter and hope you do some rotary engraving some day
ОтветитьUsing metric made it so much easier for me to understand what you are doing. Welcome to the rest of the world. You should try using metric for everything as it makes everything so much simpler. 😉
(This is a joke btw. I know how challenging it would be to buy stock in imperial and try to use metric for everything else).
Mark,
I love the design and the rotary. I just received my X-Tool D1 diode (similar to what Drew has), I really want a Co2 laser though!!
It is really neat.
ОтветитьI wouldn't mind seeing anything you do with it. And seeing what you do with the parts you cut out from it.
ОтветитьI’ve been thinking about getting in to laser work for a while now, partly inspired by your conversations on the subject over at WBAT.
Will that rotary work with other brands of laser? Do you have a particular laser brand you recommend?
I saw a guy, at a show, that made artwork clock faces using "vinale records", installed the clock motors and sold the shit out of them. Wouldn't tell me how he cut them.
ОтветитьSeveral questions. What is the cost of the setup you have? How long does it take to run, say 100 mugs? Isn't there an easier way to do the setup like a placement jig or something?
ОтветитьSuper interesting!
I mean, it's no multi-tool, small shop furniture... But it's really cool to see and dream about.
A cost breakdown on the laser and it's uses would be great for people thinking of taking that plunge.
ОтветитьGreat video Mark! Thanks for sharing the process of getting it all set up. That’s a bad ass laser you have
ОтветитьDang that rotary is nice. Makes mine look like tinker toys. Cool vid!
ОтветитьThe whole video was great, but I think I loved your outro best. Felt very much like podcast-Mark's banter. I was committed to watching you rebuild that Casita camper even though I have no interest in such things myself, so I'm guessing I'm pretty much a hardcore fan who isn't going to be put off by however you present the laser stuff. Sadly, I think the opinions of your more casual viewer is going to be more important than my opinion. Seriously, though...I'd watch a video of you making your jerky and sausage just because I like the way you present things and I think you do a good job of editing out the fluffy while keeping in the subtle humor.
ОтветитьSuper cool, Mark! I hope Team Hopkins got one for all the team members ;)
ОтветитьSweet video just wondering if you needed to use special glasses while using the laser? Like they have to wear while welding.
ОтветитьPretty interesting jig indeed, Mark! 😃
It's really useful!!! Thanks for the tutorial!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
