I feel like there's another product they should offer: a new film scanner :)
ОтветитьI agree that having such an adapter would be a great tool
but
Why would Nikon sell you one moderately expensive adapter which you'd then use to fill your lens drawer with lenses purchased from private persons rather than Nikon directly, when they could instead charge you a lot more by selling new versions of the lenses (or similar ones) instead?
I'm with you! ..... I'd love to use my 105mm and 135mm DC lenses on my Z bodies!.
ОтветитьHear Hear Nikon ☀️
ОтветитьCertainly a great dream with vision… 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🥰👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьOh god. Please fix your audio.
ОтветитьActually I would love a FtZ with a 48mm filter drawer for narrowband filters for Astro.
ОтветитьYes agree and also an ftz adapter with a drop in filter
ОтветитьAgree with everything you said...
ОтветитьProbably the single biggest hang-up stopping me moving to a Nikkon Mirrorless, I'm even considering moving to Fuji if I have to scrap my AF lenses I may as well consider a new ecosystem.
Ответитьthat's the only reason I did not switch to the Z system
ОтветитьYes to an updated FTZ.
ОтветитьYou make a good point for a motorized adaptor, but there are some points you didn’t cover. First, not everyone has does old lenses, so the market will be very small. You need to ask why did no 3rd party adapter like Megadap not make such an adapter? Maybe it is not profitable due to cost and small market.
Another point is that the market has shrinked, so Nikon needs to make more revenue from a smaller user base. The way to go for Nikon is that this user base buy the new Z mount. Nikon does not want to keep the F mount alive but to have this user move to Z mount.
You have my vote for both adapters or maybe just have 1 like a Swiss Army knife adapter for F to Z.
ОтветитьWhat would be the difference between the D850 II and the Z8 II, the mechanical shutter?... It kinda doesn't make sense lol
ОтветитьHm! I thought I read a 3rd party was working on that last year or is it just a CPU electric coupling for G lens?
ОтветитьI wish theyd just make a less ugly ftz adapter and smaller prines that fit the Zf aesthetic.
ОтветитьI gave the same dream - For a company that has always been so backward compatible Nikon really made users unhappy with no screw drive FTZ ... 🦘
ОтветитьThe Zf and the Zfc should have come out with this retroFTZ adaptor escpecially if its retro styled.
ОтветитьFocus motor would be nice, but AI tab and focusing wide open isn't necessary on mirrorless. Focusing stopped down is actually technically better due to possible focus shift that happens with some lenses when you stop them down.
ОтветитьI’d rather wait for Megadap to release a new firmware version to support that Nikon F(D) to Sony E mount adapter.
Ответитьim sure you've noticed, but just gotta let you know, the voice over is only playing in the left channel. cheers, good stuff
ОтветитьYou should be hired by Nikon as chief product manager. I would immediately buy a mirrorless camera when Nikon would have an FTZ with AF-D and AI support.
ОтветитьThat's the reason I'm thinking to abond my Nikon ZF and back to Canon. I still shoot on film. A lot. And I'd like to have system to fill both - digital and analog. That is so frustraiting buing lenses by two. One for Z and another for F system. Canon did an adapter to use old EF lenses on their mirrorless. Why Nikon won't do the same?? I think money's on the mind. Sad.
ОтветитьAbsolutely agreed with you. I had the exact idea for the FTZ adapter.
ОтветитьGood Video, yes I agree as I have some Nikon "D" lens and ai and ais manual lenses although at present I do not have a mirrorless camera yet but I hope to have one by the end of the year but would want to use my 'F' mount glass as the 'Z' mount glass is so expensive.
Ответитьain’t gonna happen- it will kill Z lenses market
Ответитьi wish there was a focus motor in the ftz as well
Ответитьmy right ear feels so lonely :c
ОтветитьIMO Nikon is never gonna do any of this because why would they make it easy for you to use old lenses over buying a new one. they would just cannibalize their own market. Maybe if another manufacturer did these things to enable old Nikon's on their platform would force Nikon for competive reasons but I don't know who is gonna do that. Why don't you make these adaptors yourself? Seem like great ideas and could make some good $$$
ОтветитьDarn I'd really want nikon to make a ftz with screw driver & AI coupling leaver... Plz nikon its not that hard even 3rd party manufacturer made F to E with screw driver...
ОтветитьI'll be honest, I think you're going to have to rely on Tech-Art to make something like that in the future.
