Main problem ive experienced is whenever i try hg i get people that are so good that i cant even determine what i did wrong besides just not being as good as them with aim.
The 7 steps to almost every match i get into.
1. Start game
2. Everyone turns to get angle on each other
3. They instantly take down mast from a mile away
4. Player launches over as soon as they hit mast and sniper pistol instant kill at least 1 of us
5. Remaining crew member/members get overwhelmed being outnumbered with crewmate dead and get killed as well
6. Spawn in and get snipe and pistol killed again
7. Sink
Not much to work on when your not as good at hitting both weapon shots to kill someone instantly as the people your playing against, you just lose.
epic video
ОтветитьAs a Hand-Tools-Only woodworker, I have to agree with your assessment of music in the shop. I typically play Polyphia when I'm working on projects to help me focus.
Ответитьpvp is so fucking aids in this game
ОтветитьIts kinda hard to play when half of the 8 times ive done hour glass Ive gotten matched against cheaters
ОтветитьDude! You are super cool!! You made my SoT brain expand.
ОтветитьPersonally i think rare was giving a personal "eff you" to players who finally got pve mode by reducing gold and restricting your custom ship for now.
Its kinda like saying " ok arena failed horriblly but we can force pvp to work..."
All i want is to go into the back of athena fortune bar and get sung to by belle..
But as of now ive been waiting 24 minutes for a hour glass battle..
Its stupid, obviously nobody wants pvp only modes and it feels like its DLC ill never interact with because, phuck the player base
Some people dont have the luxuries of being a popular streamer or that much time to waste grinding to 100 before life wants to make us be responsible.
The flame heart fleet has helped me so much for practice! I can land long bombs with my cannon shots now, and I'm way better at bilging!
ОтветитьNpcs an open world don’t compare to the fat losers who have never hopped off the game in hour glass u spawn in everytime get hit with 10 cannons before u have even fired a shot the low count off players on it means u run into the same loser everytime there’s a reason I never touched hour glass an it’s cause of the fat losers
ОтветитьHave no friend to duo sloop with :(
ОтветитьGalaxy brain ideas
ОтветитьIma just gonna loss farm cause people are pathetic and useless and no point of trying 1v2 or 1v3 cause retards just leave
ОтветитьLiterally none of this video helped me. You just said obvious stuff.
Thanks.
I just came back from a long hiatus. I have launch crew rifle and the 1 eye patch, so yeah, day 1 player, but 4 years I haven't played.
I scuttled my ship after a long play session and went to check out something, but as I was running/swimming I got a load screen and message saying I had sunk.
Is this what happens to all crew members when a ship sinks now? That's pretty dumb, if so..
My strategy is losing I get point either way so f it just do nothing since its the only way Ill get any lv
ОтветитьAnalyse your mistakes and correct them, learn and keep to fundamental techniques within your role on the sloop (applies to brigantine and galleon as well), and communicate to your teammate.
Keep practicing these and you will improve, just like I am currently, and I’m only level 34 in hourglass.
i recommend galleon pvp. it's fun, and it's dramatic. duo sloop is also nice, but NEVER do brigantine. brigantine is like walking on a straight plank where you can get oneballed any time. don't recommend.
ОтветитьI’m not the best at pvp but I can hold my own and one piece of advise is you win some you lose some don’t let the loses get you down
Ответитьmy goal. only play in 2x xp wekends. get level 105 guardians and never touch this garbage hourglass again
ОтветитьWhat is the best fov overall or keybinds
ОтветитьThe most frustrating thing is when u not in good player base Server when you just play with The same guys and u cant even learn something because of skill gap, so u just give up
ОтветитьI’m noob
ОтветитьThe last tip about the music is actually brilliant. I dont know why i didn't think of that. The battle music in SoT gives me anxiety lmao. Its like Jaws music
Ответитьi feel like we need more people like you in the sea of thieves community i really enjoy sea of thieves but starting off the community was outwardly hostile to me making it harder to become better
ОтветитьIt’s supposed to be skilled matchmaking but damn, after 15 losses you start to lose hope.
ОтветитьHourglass should be scrapped or rework tbh. These curses are not only grindy as heck, but PvP exclusively and wanted by the entire playerbase. Hourglass actually made me quit SoT.
ОтветитьChanging the music is a great suggestion, I've never thought of that but it makes perfect sense, I'll try it out next time!
ОтветитьFor me, I have a helm who I play with, and we complement each other’s skills perfectly. For me, I am the main cannon and boarder, and he is my helm. My advice is to find someone to play with as it can be less stressful as you know you have someone else to rely on to help you win the fight. My advice is just to find a fun crew mate to play with, as even if you lose it can make it more fun and less crushing.
Ответитьless about the mental game but more about gameplay for blunderbus users
wait till your opponent fully climbs the ladder to shoot, theyll get stuck in the animation but their hitbox will teleport instantly for easy 1 shots
at this point, i think that its just best that I forget about getting the skeleton curse. I'm trash at PVP, I'm not double-gunner, and I'm horrible with chain shots :/ this was a good video, and I do hope people manage to use this as a reference when working to get the curses
ОтветитьSadly "solo sloop" isnt something to me, I always play solo and always figth 1v2 every time
ОтветитьMe and a friend duo sloop. We often have a 3-4 win streak at times. I am a god at cannons, maneuvering, and maintenance prioritization. Meanwhile, my friend is an expert border and close combat pvp er. He can board a duo sloop and take control of the ship while spawn camping (Not toxic) while I bombard the ship with cannon balls. Teamwork and Delegation can be the difference between winning and losing over and over again (What is the fun in that?). Having one person do one task while the other person does another contributing to an end goal, will result in a pretty satisyinf outcome. Also the music tip is really effective. While hourglassing, listening to piano or jazz keeps me relaxed and calm whenever I get blundered. It also might help you focus a lot more.
ОтветитьMy advice would be dont dive thats for suckers defend then you choose the battle ground
ОтветитьI've gotten the skeleton curse mostly solo, and it was probably one of the worst 2 weeks of my life. it was NOT good for my mental health. however, I've found that when I'm due slooping with a buddy of mine that is REALLY good with canon shots, that I was much more calm and actually enjoyed the mode even more
Ответитьfor me my main issue is confidence
ive sunk tons of skeleton ships of both varieties, ive even sunk a couple of players (definitely less than 5) yet have played since 2020
im a PL but im too afraid to even do athena stuff, my reapers is level 30 solely from alliances selling to them and the occasional "meh im near reapers, ill sell there"
i completely shut down when in a pvp situation because i never know WHERE to start with the fight
"am i being shot? um, ill go repair i guess?"
"do i have shots? yes! but my aim is so shaky, im terrible with this!"
there just feels like theres never a moment in pvp where i can breathe and understand what to do, its all too fast paced even in a duo sloop fight
i know im probably just gonna get told "just practice fivehead" and "ur gonna sink sometimes anyways just get used to it" but that stuff isnt gonna help me, i need some way to relax in that situation
so please, if anyone has advice for THAT, please tell me
As someone who is terrible at pvp and can never find anyone to play with even on open crew I hope your advice helps.
ОтветитьHere is a tip that helped me. Don't aim for level 100 immediately. Aim for level 10, then 20, then 30, then 40, and so on. This way you will feel accomplished for hitting milestones instead of feeling burnt out for not being 70 levels away from your curse, after such a long grind.
Ответитьi have the skelly curse but im still so bad so i need help lol
ОтветитьThe more you play the better you get
ОтветитьIf your on a ship and pvping have roles on the ship.
I am a gun pvpr witch means I try to board every chance I get
And do what you good at even if you find boarding more fun but your better at cannons then only do cannons because I’m pvp every cannon ball count.
I FINALLY GOT LEVEL 20
I know this isn't great but for me it's a big deal
just some good general advice to give to everyone no matter what your doing out on the seas is to just make sure you dont get too frustrated with it and always be willing to take a break and come back later its always better to take a break and come back later to try again when your feeling better and ready to instead of pushing yourself to keep going and causing mental burnout
ОтветитьI need to start the grind to get the skelly curse, im good at aiming cannons but its maintaining the ship i cant do. my friend is great on the wheel but he sometimes ignores what i say and thats when we sink. i tell him "steer right or else we will end up in a deadzone" ect, he then for some unknown reason, heads straight into the other ship. we have sunk at least 10 times to this, but he is getting better at realising the cannons are on the side of the ship. hopefully a few months of grinding reaper pvp can get us the curse then we never touch that ungodly mode again lol.
ОтветитьSome good things are to practice naval combat just sail around a fort and practice aiming on various land marks. Bailing on a sloop isnt top priority u gotta remember to fight back and steer to avoid being presured. If your mast falls dont prioritize it. Prioritize fighting back and repairing to keep them from pressuring you. You can actually win by fighting back and force them to repair. In reality the best way to deal with broken mast is to catch it. As for borders blunderbombs are your friends. Best strategy is to not let them on in the first place. If they do board blunder bombing or ganging up on them will overwhelm them. The best tip is to just practice and learn from your mistakes. Communicate and learn you will sink a lot at first that is ok. Whats not ok is giving up
ОтветитьMan, I wish I had someone to do this with or at least go through the same pain with me. Keep up the good content 🤠
ОтветитьSimilar to the amped music leading to confused thoughts dont be afraid to just step away for a minute to cool off if youre getting frustrated. maintaining a clear cohesive thought process helps alot when having to multitask in these fights and if youre frustrated or upset the call you make may not always be the proper call for the situation. Its a long grind and only by surviving it will you get what youre after. Good luck everyone
ОтветитьSo idk if this helps but tip with the cannons shoot the cannon balls near the cannons it will stun the people trying to shoot u and if shot high enough 1 shots people
ОтветитьI personally had better luck with solo sloop pvp I'm not sure why but my fights are mostly easier that way
Ответить
