Agree, the A.I. makes it even harder for true artists to live. Since it was hard the transition from real materials and the usage of them (paper, paints, brushes etc.) to digital ones, it can be easily noticed how the A.I. takes away the skilled people in arts jobs, means of living, and that's not fair. Somehow I feel only true painters should use the A.I. for digital art to ease their work.

I started drawing 4 years ago, I wish I started when I was a teen, but all I could draw before 2019, were only stickfigures... Now I'll be 27 the 24th of this month and have only 4 years of experience, tho in these 4 years I've learned a lot!
There's really no age to start drawing, but if you start when you're a lot younger, it's probably even better 😐

Thanks for this it's really helpful. Two questions... I've been pondering the pros and cons of either working like this with a basic sketch to fill in shapes or focus a lot on the line work and include that in the final result, eg Boris Vallejo and many others where you see lots of dark line work. As a beginner I need fewer variables so maybe the first option you demonstrate is the better one for me right now. My other question is the pros and cons of layers. Mask and layers make it more controllable but also more complex. One layer is close to traditional paint but is less forgiving.

There is not much info on painting like this. A lot of it isn’t explained well. My request would be more smaller examples in real-time.
