Fantastic !
ОтветитьI’ve seen a lot of documentaries about the herring and sardine runs off various places in the world
They’re impressive events
But having watched the mullet run in Florida for decades- nothing tops it
I’ve seen the mullet fill the trough- 40-50 yards wide at low tide- where there are more mullet than water- they literally displace water such that the water level rises
And the schools go for miles
It’s hard to express how many mullet constitute the mullet run
The mullet run lasts from early/mid September and finishes in November
Each mullet heading south is a different fish
A constant stream of mullet for 60 odd days
It’s probably the most under rated natural phenomenon that I know of
che spettacolo
Ответитьamazing footage
ОтветитьFunny how tourists stand in the middle of the mullet and don't realize the dharks will eat them too.

ОтветитьI witnessed a mullet run in the intracoastal in Boca Raton years ago. It was UNREAL!! You almost could've walked across the water on them. I've never seen anything like it before or since. The water was solid mullet, there were thousands and thousands of them. This lasted at least 20 minutes! Unreal!
ОтветитьI thought the tarpon were cool. People getting in that with the sharks may not be a good idea. Thanks for sharing.
