Definitely didn't butcher all of the native names 👀
ОтветитьAnd what about tobacco sister? Sounds weird but tobacco repells bugs, and with bugs, it repells birds too. No bugs, no birds, no damage on the corn.
ОтветитьAny tips for squash bugs without pesticides?
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьGood tips for formations and timings of planting the sisters. Excellent video, thank you!
ОтветитьFor millenia*
ОтветитьThe best way to plant things is together cause that’s they at they were in nature
ОтветитьI did this one time only. The night before I was going to pick my corn the bandit raccoons raided my beautiful patch and broke down every single cornstalk, ruining my beans and squash, peeled every ear of corn and took one bite of it and then moved on. The little pirates hit every garden in the neighborhood that year. I haven't planted corn since...
ОтветитьBy centuries I think she meant millennia
ОтветитьLovely way to whitewash the notion...
ОтветитьI'm your sister
ОтветитьI'm your son sister 😂😂
ОтветитьBest explanation EVER! Thank you ❤️
ОтветитьCan the squash sister component be watermelons?
ОтветитьIts crazy how most people in america think of past natives as savages when they literally had to baby the white folk and teach them how to survive in America. They were a lot smarter than you give them credit for and actually knew how to live with the land through hard work.
ОтветитьCould I theoretically replace the beans with peas? I dont care for beans but would like to try this method.
ОтветитьDoesn't seem like you could grow a lot of corn this way. I'm also surprised they get pollinated enough. I always hear that you need a lot of corn in order for it to pollinate.
ОтветитьI never thought I would be learning from the Bloods on how to grow crops.
ОтветитьSo you can't plant pento beans ?
ОтветитьYou can’t do this for fall?
ОтветитьI'm going to try this but my fourth sister will be a marijuana plant. I get to have my delicious beans and corn and squash while getting high.

38 For as in those days before the flood,
they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,

ОтветитьYou can plant up to 64 stalks in a 4'x4' square too, you can pack them in pretty tight, then the tassels are directly above the silks dropping pollen too.
ОтветитьGreetings from Missouri! Fantastic three sisters tutorial. Will be implementing this method in our garden this year.
ОтветитьGreat job. Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks so much
ОтветитьIs the three sisters method of planting limited to corn beans squash? do you have any other three plant combinations to use?
ОтветитьLove this! But, one tip... in my experience, you can't use a "combination" of different corn plants, or they will cross pollinate, and you will end up with some strange corn cobs!
Ответитьayo shes a blood
no offence, i just found it funny
Excellent tutorial for a novice gardener like myself. Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial for a novice gardener like myself. Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьWe do that in my country.
ОтветитьIs Spain good climate for that?
ОтветитьLove this thank you so much.
ОтветитьMore people need to use banana, orange, lemon, pineapple, watermen's, squash, and other rinds or peels to use as organic compost along with different pollen plants around so they can get pollenated
ОтветитьDear friend, genuine repentance and recitation of those words will protect you from calamities:
"F a l u n D a f a is Good" and "Truth, Compassion, Forbearance is Good".
F a l u n D a f a (or F a l u n G o n g) is a spiritual cultivation practice for mind and
body that is widely spreading in the world, it is based on the
principles of the Universe:
真 Truthfulness
善 Compassion
忍 Forbearance
It includes gentle exercises and meditation. It helped millions of people
to regain health, peace of mind and obtain spiritual fulfillment. Since
1999 this peaceful practice has been brutally persecuted by the CCP (Chinese communist party) in
Mainland China. More than 100 million people around the world practice Falun
Gong.
So helpful! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьFascinating.
ОтветитьI live in southeast Texas, zone 9a. Can I do this in August?
ОтветитьCan I use pumpkin instead of squash? Aren’t they related?
ОтветитьI've got two 3 Sisters gardens , one with flint corn and the other has peaches and cream corn in it plus sunflowers, pumpkins and butternut squash plus green and yellow pole beans and adzuki beans
