Totally related to the video, especially 21 degrees is my AC temperature for cooling in hot Indian Summers where it reaches 40 degrees 😂😂
ОтветитьThe bag fee and alcohol thing is literally so common in nearly every store in the usa tho
(I say nearly cus some places dont charge extra for the bag)
I live in the United States and my local walmart sells alcohol.
ОтветитьThey sell alcohol in grocery stores in America. It just depends on what state you’re in.
ОтветитьSome parts of the US sell alcohol in their stores, some do not. Its a big and diverse country don't ya know?
ОтветитьA lot of Americans know or can at least comprehend what Brits mean by saying “you alright” most the time lol.
Yes, you get a few who take it to another level where the American is offended by it and questions it a bit but it’s not serious…. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m from California and we also pay for plastic groceries bags if we want them. What state so you like girl?!? 😂
ОтветитьI live in New Orleans, Louisiana in US and we sell alcohol in every grocery store!
Ответитьso wait if someone says "you alright" do you just respond with "hi" ? or like "yeah" lmao
ОтветитьHi is high in british
ОтветитьYou have to pay for plastic bags here in stores
ОтветитьDon’t forget self checkout
ОтветитьThey make you pay extra for plastic bags to encourage you to bring your own bag to waste less plastic
ОтветитьIsn’t this normal….
ОтветитьBro it’s better for the environment to not just hand out plastic bags it encourages people to recycle their other bags
Ответить"are you alright?"
existential crisis
Plastic bag charge isn’t a culture it’s slow oppression
ОтветитьAmericans:They just casually sell alchahol here???!!
Also Americans: buying a gun from target
21° for AIR CONDITIONING? I would not survive, wherever she’s from.
ОтветитьHere up north you alright is just one word like yareet
ОтветитьCelcius is not Fahrenheit
Ответить😂
ОтветитьWhat country doesn't sell alcohol in their grocery stores?!? They're available even in convenience stores.
ОтветитьGo into our Asda there’s a full aisle for your alcohol 😂
ОтветитьAs a person who lives in England it's pretty normal the weather is normal
ОтветитьBest city to be in for study and living, loved it!
ОтветитьIdk where she comes from but England being cold is a common misconception, it’s not even one of the coldest in Europe, the temperature in winter is the same temperature as most of Spain, most of Italy, France and it’s warmer than Germany, every country above it and many Eastern European countries.
Chicago and New York have hit -30 Celsius btw. When we say the weather is bad we mean it’s rainy and cloudy, and when other European countries get hot, we just get warm
new zealand we gotta pay for bags too lol but gahh i so wanna go to the UK 🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe biggest culture shock is the racism. Everything else is peaches.
ОтветитьFesl sorry for you. I permanently live in the UK and istg the houses ar emenat to keep in so when it's boiling hot you CAN NOT SLEEP
ОтветитьMy walmart has alcohol just sitting in aisles and I live in america
ОтветитьLmao I live in the Uk and all of this is obviously perfectly normal to me. Some things I’m literally like “what do you have then if that’s not normal?”
ОтветитьNgl, people who have always lived in britain are still not used to paying for plastic bags... Remember when they brought that in, we were not ready for that sh*t 😭😭
ОтветитьBritish person here, not about culture shock but to mention , don't forget the amount of pubs on one street in public shopping areas. Damn, even if it's a tiny town there will be more then 40 pubs
ОтветитьI always feel bad for you because you live in the uk
ОтветитьI live in America and you have to pay extra for plastic bags at some stores.
Ответитьi get culture shock visiting another state, like from Texas to Minnesota (USA). Thanks. Cute video.
