Very cute space! Love all the windows. Have you considered a folding screen for your bed area, or maybe hanging curtains? The balcony would be great for potted plants/trees for some greenery.

I first moved last year from Singapore to SF for the first time as well. First time moving out of my parents' place, and I moved continents lmao. I love what you did with your place. I wish I could do more now, but my lease is coming up soon, and the rent is so expensive!
