Hey Mr Salles, after saying quote 3, Scrooge says he wishes he could "say a word or or two" to Bob. Could it be possible that this is when Scrooge decides that he will raise Bob's salary?(further showing that seeing Fezziwig's party has made Scrooge realise that the true value of wealth is how it is used to benefit others)

ОтветитьHi Mr salles can you please mark this story I wrote on boy who discover eternal happiness from sadness
Under the ancient oak tree, a boy sat, knees drawn up to his chest, his face buried in the crook of his elbow. He was a mere whisper of a boy, a fleeting shadow, as he lingered in the gloom, a participant in his own melancholy. The branches above seemed to weep with him, their leaves shivering in the breeze, casting a dappled tapestry of sadness upon the dew-laden grass.
His name was Ewan.
Time, that relentless beast, gnawed at the edges of his consciousness, yet he remained captive in his cage of sorrow. Each tear that fell to the earth below was a siren call to memories that haunted the corners of his mind – memories of laughter, of friendship, the warmth of a loving embrace. The memories were like ghosts, whispering in the wind, slipping through his fingers as he tried to hold on.
Suddenly, a shaft of sunlight pierced the gloom, illuminating the forest floor, and Ewan looked up. The world seemed to pause, its breath held in anticipation, as the light danced in the leaves above. It was as if a celestial hand had reached down, offering solace, beckoning him to step out of the shadows.
Hesitantly, Ewan rose from his perch, a reluctant butterfly emerging from the cocoon of his despair. He took a tentative step, then another, drawn towards the light as if by an invisible thread. He ventured further from the tree, his heart pounding in his chest, his fears dissipating like wisps of smoke in the wind.
A glistening brook meandered through the forest, its waters bubbling with laughter and joy. Enchanted, Ewan knelt at its edge, the cool water washing over his hands, cleansing his soul. As he gazed into the depths, he saw a reflection – not of himself, but of those he had lost, their smiles beckoning him to remember the love they had shared.
Tears streamed down his face, but these were no longer tears of sorrow; they were tears of joy, of remembrance, of the love that had been locked away in his heart. He stood and breathed deeply, his lungs filling with the scent of life, the perfume of wildflowers and the tang of damp earth.
Ewan wandered through the forest, his senses alive to the symphony of nature: the rustle of leaves, the song of birds, the soft brush of a squirrel's tail as it scampered by. The once oppressive silence had become a chorus of life, a harmonious melody that resonated within him, stirring a long-dormant ember in his heart.
Love, he realized, was not a thing that could be lost or misplaced; it was a part of him, a fire that burned in the deepest recesses of his soul. It was a gift, not to be hoarded, but to be shared, to be given freely and without reservation.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the world painted in hues of gold and crimson, Ewan returned to the ancient oak tree. He knelt, his fingers tracing the letters carved into its weathered bark, a monument to the love that had once been and would never be forgotten.
With a smile, he rose and stepped back into the world, his heart aflame, ready to embrace life and all its beautiful, chaotic wonder.
And as the shadows lengthened, the boy who had discovered himself, who had journeyed from sorrow to happiness, walked away from the tree, leaving behind the darkness that had once consumed him.

ОтветитьI just wanted to say, I always thought that ignorance was referring to rich people not knowing of the conditions of the poor and therefore not helping them, like when Scrooge says to the portly gentlemen that it's not his business and he doesn't care to make it his business. What do you think of that pov?
