Mimic is underrated, it's solid and has aged quite well. I actually prefer his post-Pacific Rim movies overall. Pan's Labyrinth>Pinocchio>Crimson Peak>Nightmare Alley>The Devil's Backbone>The Shape of Water>Cronos>Pacific Rim>Hellboy>Mimic>Hellboy II>Blade II

Mimic is Del Toro’s worst film because of Harvey Weinstein

"studio interference" is the worst think you can hear while making a movie.
never seen Cronos so I'll make my list with just 9
MY OPINION!!!!!!!!
9. Crimson Peak (only thing I liked was the visual effects)
8. Mimic (very underrated horror movie)
7. Blade 2 (never liked those vampires)
6. Hellboy 2 (the story and villains went to over-the-top for my taste compare to the first one)
5. Pacific Rim (cool story, amazing visual effects, lots of fun to watch)
4. The Shape of Water (good love story, but went too far at some point)
3. Hellboy (great characters, great action sequences, great special effects, etc)
2. Devil's Backbone (great stories, both the one about the ghost and the one about the living, scary as hell)
1. Pan's Labyrinth (just a masterpiece)

Crimson Peak is my personal favorite. I just feel like it was marketed wrong, the trailer made it seem like it was gonna be a horror movie. It’s more of a gothic love story with some ghosts behind it, but visually stunning and beautiful storytelling. It’s my favorite movie of his, but objectively speaking I’d still say it’s his 3rd best, after pans & shape of water
