Is DayZ worth it in 2023?

dayz or tarkov? i played dayz ages ago and it seems just a reskin of same game is it still fun and worth 40 bucks lol.

As someone who has been playing dayz since it was an arma2 mod all I can say is that once you get the hang of it its really relaxing

why is this game still 60 dollars being how old it is

I played better looking games in 2007

so it's basically a rust but with zombies, right?

DayZ is battle royale now, not a survival. Better play Apex Legends or PUBG for the gun fight

This game is anything but “mostly realistic.”

This game is horribly awful, enjoy going thru 20+ characters just to start, you always get sick no matter what, and loot is dogshit because you spawn with 50 other spawn points and everything is already looted, so you’re forced to rush parts of the map which are impossible to reach because you get sick or starve to death… Shit game, absolutely a shit game, but unfortunately it is a great concept.

One thing that has always interested me about DayZ is the interactions with other players. Most games it’s just people are friendly or they aren’t. One or the other, but that’s far from the case in this game

Forgot to mention that people use borderline cheating graphics to see people 1000m away in treelines and run 6 mans rolling on the floor. PVP is stale rn but the PVE is probably the best part.

just consider the fact everyone and their mum is using a graphic setting to make their game so that you as a different player are purple, which makes it impossible to hide.

I need some answer. I play bit dayz now and... i dropped it. I only for now played on official since idk how to get on comunity because when you get in that tab it lags like HELL. Beside that i spend very long time walking alone not knowing map and not using internet one to fully imerse my self in and then after hours of playing i found a guy... a guy and tried talk to him but no answer what so ever and then with that i run off and it clicked me... that so many survival mulitplayer games and DAYZ dont have good pve like... that player was most exciting thing that happened and that was very lacking feeling. And all that walking around without gunshots, without talk etc. Then i think what stops everyone from just killing each others because there is nothing better to do... am i having wrong mindset or except fighting players there is... nothing. (I have less than 100h and survived begining and then i just run from town to town for suplices which wws PLENTY ON OFFICIAL, what do we fight for for fuck sake...)

DayZ on console is fun, but they need to add new maps like on PC

Good survival game, but a trash and toxic community

When I first heard of this game, I told my friends I wanted to buy it, they all told me I shouldn’t sense it was awful.

I bought it anyways.

It is possibly my most favorite game I’ve ever played, sure when I die in a way that kinda signifies the end of my play cycle of the game I stop playing for a couple months but then it keeps going and going. No other game has brought me back constantly on its own without any outside help from friends bugging me to play a game they want to play.

I’ve experienced so many things in this game, from friendship to betrayal, from peace to war, the true fear of radiation as I walked through the heart of the exclusion zone. All these are things that I can only experience in THIS game.

It’s also too hardcore for rust kids so you rarely see kids playing this so RP servers are actually really fun to play. Not saying that we should gate keep the game but it already does it passively with being as hard as it is to understand.

Before I pay $50 for a game I got a question if anyone can answer , does it have a idle kick feature like the game vigor??? A similar game but garbage after their idle kick feature in update , if you have no guns you can't run cuz they will hear you and your dead so it's either hand fight a guy with guns or hide and get kicked 🤔
Update I bought the game and wish I didn't , everyone is exploiting cheats and camping at spawn points , cool maps but you'll never see the really cool sights because everyone camps in trees around high traffic areas plus their fully geared when you might have a damaged gun with 3 bullets , it's definitely not a survival game it's a pvp game , the biggest danger is other players trying to ruin your experience surviving , regardless of no kos or pve or rp no 1 cares they will camp and kill you regardless of the rules . I wish I could get my money back for a real survival game

Looking for a new game and I've come back to this game a few times but never tried it.

The game is amazing. The major problem with dayz are the cheaters. Last I played, it was simply unplayable because of that.

The hunger system and difficulty with the zombies is biggest problem for me.
It makes getting loot more of a chore to do and with the over abundance of zombies you usually use up a lot of it whenever you get into an encounter with them.

it can be fun game can find some nice people sometimes but then there people who are douchebags helped a guy raid a base got good stuff then ended up killing me taking my stuff i was really not happy

Should you buy it, yes! On ps4 absolutely not!!! The ps4 version has been full of bugs and glitches for over 2 years that I've played it

Play this game on ps4 when it first came out on console and it was horrible.
