I watched this long before I listened to the audio book. I could be beside me because I saw this video first, but by far, this is better than the audio book. But I have to admit the narrator yelled better.

I disrespect Guilliman on the daily, but if he so much as scowled at me I would crap my pants. I know what the Blue Boy can do, and when his anger is roused he turns his mind wholly to your destruction or subjugation.

Then things happen during the Plague Wars & the Emperor blasts Nurgles Garden.

After reading about exactly what Matthew did, my respect for the Sisters of Battle greatly diminished. Did Matthew directly order the Battle Sister? No. But he might as well had. He knew exactly what he was saying and what she’d do. Bobby G is right! He was the only living loyal Primarch to have directly spoken to The Emperor. If anyone knows what the Big E wished, it’s his sons. Not some misguided group of fanatical Emperor worshipers. Now that the Lion is back, heads are gonna really role. Because we all know The Lion don’t play that mess.

The mere thought of Lying to a primarch, right to his face, ESPECIALLY to someone like Guilliman, I wouldn't even consider doing something like that at threat of a chainsword to my head.

Mathiew was really surprised to know Guilliman had such rage, but little did he know that one quality all of the emperor's 20 children had was rage, only the ones that fell to chaos didnt know how to control it

A word to the wise do not piss this man off as he already dealing with a crap tone of bull shit that the inquisition and imperium has left him. Hearing this man speak about his father who this man has never meet in person, right into the face to the son of the emperor who has met his dad face to face and knows his father to tell this was not him and it very much could had ended badly.

Your sinuses have made it sound like Guilliman was railing cocaine two days before.

i like the mentions of the anger being like a physical heat and Guilliman appearing taller, as all primarchs are at least latently psychic the heat would be actual heat and he would probably be subconsciously psychically projecting his image to be larger.

I can just imagine the deep rage Robby has at this "new" Imperium as it's the total reverse of what the Emperor wanted for mankind. Every day he can see the bones of what was caked in a rotting mass of what it's all devolved into with the constant fawning of zealots at his feet. The unending chants of God-Emperor this and that all grating on the memories of his father saying he is no god nor wants to be seen as one. The dream of a rational, prosperous and secure mankind broken and nearly dead in a mire of zealous fear, hatred and ignorance. It's a wonder he is able to keep that anger in check long enough to run things but I suppose it's what he both thinks his father would want of him and what his nature tells him to do. Deep down Robby does make a good ruler as his empire showed before Big E found him but it's a bigger challenge as it is now.

There’s also the time during the Horus heresy when guilliman got so pissed at the word bearers that guilliman decided that breathing is for losers and started punching the heads off word bearers in space

I will say it I enjoy big blue frustration
I like the struggle and endure the reality of the 40k imperium

i like to imagine that if another primarch comes back and to terra. they would most likely be like "This place is a mess i could run this better than you" (due to the massive egos some of them have) and Guilliman would either respond with "the only place you can lead is on a battlefield" or along the same feeling "oh really? let's test that" and throw them right into his spot.

This part of the book proves a horrifying fact about the current imperium, that people like Matthew aren't just taught the religion, its dug into their mind and their person
"He recoilled at the adoration in Matthews eyes" is actually a bit disturbing

Wonder what the ecclesiarchy would donor say if Guilliman said this in a more public forum

The line about a vein pulsing in Roboute’s forehead is the most unsettling to me. The idea that Guilliman is SO ANGRY that his body is acting on its own takes on new meaning in a Primarch who, normally, has supernatural control over every single aspect of his body.

Just for context was Guilliman mad at him cause he used Sister Celestine in the battle?

You gotta give props to the priest for not feinting at the sight of a pissed off primarch. That'd be terrifying

Last time Gulliman was THIS openly pissed, Lorgar and Angron (mostly Angron) were kicking his ass on Nuceria.

Guilliman came across as boring in the old days when there was little lore. Guilliman now is one of the most interesting characters in 40k and I love it.

Goddamn, THIS is what I've been waiting for in 40k. For someone who KNEW to appear, and just go "You all are IDIOTS." and be outraged by the sheer amount of atrocity committed simply because someone had a vision, or a priest was in a bad mood, or something. Then again, I'm also someone who fully believes that 'Imperial Living Saints' are just a form of daemon born not from avarice hate or bloodlust, but from the beneficial side of the human psyche. They're still daemons, but of a different breed. One that doesn't devour the soul of a host, but just pushes it to the side, leaving it alive and sane. One that maybe actually wants to help the Imperium.

For him to call it ALL out... Beautiful. So gratifying.

Even though Guilliman did not trust this
particular priest of the Imperial Cult, he still gave his respects to the man that was literally dying from being riddled with Nurgle’s diseases by the end of God Blight. The man died in service of the Emperor after all.

The priest was near orgasmic in his expectation of being destroyed by this Son of The Emperor. Guilliman recoiled; "Ew you fucking weirdo!"
