Almost 3 times the torque
And NO CVT

Yes, the shifter is sort of cumbersome.

My girlfriend just ordered an NX350 with the Ultra Luxury package, which is essentially identical to the car you tested, minus the HUD, the F Sport suspension/active dampers, and the F Sport styling. Same interior/exterior colours. It's supposed to be arriving on October 8th. Exciting!

Finally!! Lexus is toning down the "gate mouth" "bottom feeder" front end. It's just so hard to get past ugly. No doubt sales will improve once supply returns to normal.

in terms of the horsepower, don't forget that this NX weighs over 4,000 lbs... that's a lot to haul even with 275bhp. But I could live with that I guess because of Toyota quality. Appreciate the honest review like with the Shifter, and no reclining rear seat... really in a luxury SUV...

only 3 more HP compare to RDX lol, look at the Torque before comparing it to RDX. That's why this Engine will be popular, it's got torque. It feels better than most V6 out there. Perfect engine to me in my opinion. Power, speed, yet still saves gas due to small displacement engine.

The NX turbo gas base is roughly the same starting price as the RDX base in the US, but I’m pretty sure Lexus is more reliable.

450h is where it’s at, I want one so bad😭

Oh, I don't know. Just sat in a 2022 NX a few days ago. Raised the car seat to suit my height of 5'7". Still, trying to look over the hood at the road was like trying to look over a mountain. Uhhh. And such a cramped looking cabin. I just walked away. In contrast, the new 2022 ES300h is a delight, so spacious, big trunk, even a spare tire despite being a hybrid. That's the one for me. Too bad, I was so looking forward to the NX. For me, gas mileage is important; it is 44 miles a gallon (USA gallons) for the ES300h. The NX hybrid is pretty darn good at 39 mpg. Awesome mileage for an SUV, I'd say. Lexus cars are hard to come by these days due to the global chip shortage, and dealers give zero discounts now. Some charge thousands more than list price is what the dealer said.

This is a total miss. Overpriced, ugly design, cheap looking infotainment system, no spare, run flats. At this price much better options out there with BMW, Audi and less expensive with more options from Acura and Genesis.

Just don't expect the agility of a Genesis GV70 or Alfa Romeo Stelvio. On our figure-eight course—a MotorTrend test that evaluates acceleration, braking, handling, and the transitions in between—the NX450h+'s performance doesn't reflect the way it feels in the real world. The plug-in finished the test in 28.4 seconds at 0.57 g (average), well behind the quicker Volvo's 26.3 seconds at 0.69 g but also behind the RAV4 Prime (27.0 seconds at 0.65 g) and the NX350h. That NX hybrid variant is nearly 400 pounds lighter than the NX450h+ and finishes the figure-eight course quicker, at 28.0 seconds at 0.59 g.

In our testing, we beat the Lexus-estimated acceleration to 60 mph by a full half-second, hitting 60 in 5.5 seconds versus the quoted 6.0-second time. That's quicker than the other 2022 NX models we've tested, but a 2021 XC60 Recharge reaches 60 in a MotorTrend-tested 5.0 seconds. We haven't yet tested a Q5 plug-in, but Audi estimates its model to be just as quick as the Volvo. In case you wonder, the lighter-weight RAV4 Prime matches the NX450h+'s 5.5-second time to 60.

This means the NX plug-in hybrid is both the quickest NX money can buy and the slowest SUV in its tiny segment.

In my country the NX 450h + awd is in category with the bmw x30 en, and man thr lexus looks better, isnfaster, has more range and its 6000 euro cheaper fully loaded so its the best plug in hybrid in ita class.

No more spare tire = 4 RunOnFlat tires equipped that could last only 30-50k miles and then you will need to pay $1200 - $1600 to get them all replaced ; compared to regular $180/regular tire in the best category that last at least 60k - 80k miles.

Why is the NX a compact and the XT4 a subcompact?

Why is it that you have to spend $50,000 or more to get a reliable car with a reliable 8 speed transmission. Why do we middle class earners have to contend with cars that run $30k and get crappy CVT transmissions?

Runflat tires cost more, rougher riding and are not suppose to be repaired when they have a puncher. So if your unrepairable runflat is worn more than 10% you will be forced to buy 4 very expensive tires. Like you said, they did something that no one was asking for.

Hmm, I have an original 2015 fully loaded NX. Im going to miss that unique front end they had.

No more track pad??!! And no more stupid mouse??!! And full heated steering wheel?? Finally Lexus gets it!! But run flats?? Really?? And I will say the exterior and interior design is very nice, but they probably should’ve added different layers materials on the passenger dashboard. And huge blank space above the glove compartment looks really cheap.
