This movie proves Tom Cruise has a sense of humor and loves comedy!

Tom Cruise told Ben Stiller, "The script is funny but it needs a producer character to apply pressure from on high."

Ben Stiller returned with a draft containing Les Grossman and Cruise said, "I want to play him. I want fat hands and I wanna dance."

And that was how Tom Cruise, without writing a word or directing a shot, created one of the greatest characters in the history of film.

Tom Cruise played this part so well because movie execs are just like that. Cold hearted bastards all about the money, pulling strings behind the scenes. Well done Mt Cruise, well done.

Bill Hader doesn't get enough love for his performance.

It is kinda a shame he was in this movie - it’s such a great performance from Cruise, it would’ve been all anybody talked about in any other comedy. He had the misfortune to be in the same film as Downey Jr with his legendary portrayal of Osiris, but total respect to Cruise for a great effort I love him in this.

I know everybody wants a Les Grossman movie or something, but really I just hope they remember it won't work quite so well without Bill Hader around as his Smithers.

I've seen the entire movie and only on that last scene recognized Tom Cruise...

Confession: I saw this in the theater in 2008. I did not realize it was Tom Cruise until the very last scene.

It obviously paid back that Ben Stiller seems to be good friends with a lot of his colleagues. The fact he got Tom Cruise, RDJ, Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey in the movie...😂

I finally saw Tropic Thunder a few nights ago and I was blown away by Tom Cruise as Les Grossman. I admit, I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise the person or at least what I know about him, but I respect the hell out of Tom Cruise the actor. He's been great in so many of his film roles and this one was probably the best from him i've ever seen. When he starts dancing to Flo Rida's "Low", he's practically hypnotic. Also props to Bill Hader Les Grossman's slimy little brown nosing yes man.

McConaughey, Hader and Cruise in these scenes - no wonder they are classic.

I still can't believe how epic this whole movie was. There will never ever be another one like it.

I wouldn't have guessed Les was Tom Cruise if it was a silent film. I recognized him by his voice. This is the first time I saw Tom dancing.

This movie has become better with time. I didn’t think it was great when it came out but I watch it at least once a year.
