Why is GTA San Andreas: Original better than The Definitive Edition?

The Wasted and Busted screen is better in The Definitive Edition IMO.

The ocean in the remastered the worst thing in the game there is no realistic

the thing i mostly dislike about the definitive is how you use on foot camera zoom 3 but in the ps2 version, the default was camera zoom level 2 now the whole game feels too zoomed since default is 3, so to me it just doesn't feel right so i just play the ps2 version still or the ps4 port of the game. till they either make it like the ps2 on foot cameras.

Simple: GTASA was made with love. The definitive edition was made with greed.

Bro not only houses restaurants, clubs supermarkets ,bars gun shops , gyms , police stations and strip clubs markers will disappear when you mod hide the hud in definitive edition

The most common thing I see being removed from these games after updates or remakes are music and stations from the car radio. I'm not sure if it applies to SA. Can you not just mod the original to improve the graphics? That way you'll get something more up to date with everything from the original you wish to keep

This is why gta san andreas (the original version) is really the greatest games of all time, its because it was made with love, and it was loved for over 17 years

Lets be honest... The gta deffinitive edition sucks, it did one thing good tho...
Made the demand for and the prices of the original gta games skyrocket on the used market. I also fell into this "trap". Since i saw the crappiness of the new version on videos, and i dont want to suck with win10 compatipility issues, i quickly searched for used PS2 and OG XBOX versions, and happy with them since.
Why do devs have to mess up old good games? In hope of big money, ok, but neh....
I'm not a big classical music fan (none tbh) but try "remastering", redoing Mozart or Beethoven in Fruitty Loops..... You get somekind of result, but neh.... So this is what I think of the current remastering "wave" thats erasing game industry. Good idea, but they are doing it ALL WRONG

They removed some of the details and i think the reason was, it cost too much gb or it may lag more in poor device

I miss the orange tint I'll gve you that, but controller in hand the Definitive Edition looks and plays so much better than the original. I have both the original PS2 digital version and the Definitive Edition on my PS5 and there's not even comparison. Could they have done it better? Absolutely, but being able to play in a much higher resolution, a more modern control scheme, and more importantly at 60fps makes it a no brainer for me.

It's such a pisstake that this was removed from steam, as someone who originally played it on PS2 and didn't think the definitive edition would be this bad I'm super annoyed.

I’m surprised no one is talking about the increased difficulty compared to the original.

Whenever I play gunfights in SA DE, it feels like the enemies have me on fuckin auto-aim. No matter where I run, every single one of their shots ALWAYS hit me and completely drain my health like vampires.

I’ve had this problem for so long yet I don’t see anybody talking about it. This nearly makes the game almost impossible to fully complete.

Like the mission where Sweet and CJ bring back Glen Park and had to kill all of B-Dup’s bodyguards from his house?

I died more times than I could practically count because all of them kill me in no time flat with their fuckin auto-aim shooting! Doesn’t help that the game has to FADE IN which also means I’m getting shot completely unfair! I had to get out of there before the game even fully faded in!

Doesn’t help the fact that they completely removed the invincibility cheat so even that can’t help me. It’s bullshit!

Rockstar didn’t make a mistake of hiring GS games, RS knew about their experience, Rockstar decided to use a worse version for the games base, and Rockstar didn’t make sure the game was tested properly before release. The real evil is Rockstar-they care more for quick easy cash than remastering one of the best games with proper care and effort. This really shows how Rockstar changed over the years from people who love games and who wanted to create fun games into a corporate that just wants money! R.I.P. the former phenomenal developer Rockstar!
