Hello, and welcome to Beauty and the Biz where we'll discuss serving insurance and cosmetic patients. Additionally, we'll also discuss the general business and marketing side of plastic surgery.

Indeed, I'm your host, Catherine Maley, author of "Your Aesthetic Practice – What your patients are saying." Also, I'm a consultant to plastic surgeons, to get them more patients and more profits.

Presenting today’s episode titled, "Serving Insurance and Cosmetic Patients — with Kian Eftekhari, MD".

Obviously, serving a diverse patient population, including both insurance-covered and cosmetic surgery patients, presents surgeons with a range of opportunities and challenges.

Certainly, this dual approach requires practitioners to navigate different patient expectations, financial considerations, and procedural complexities.

Specifically, in Saturday’s video is an interview I did with Dr. Eftekhari — a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculofacial plastic & reconstructive surgeon in private practice within a big ENT group practice in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Eftekhari is currently serving both insurance as well as cosmetic patients.

Notably, Dr. Eftekhari's practice embodies the dedication to treating all patients equally and providing a variety of procedures to address their needs, including upper/lower blephs to Asian eyelid and fat transfer. He is also serving both insurance and cosmetic patients.

Additionally, he also talked about his virtual consultation process and the importance of effective communication with patients, as well as the importance of continuous learning and improvement in patient care, in order to continue effectively serving both insurance as well as cosmetic patients.
