Brilliant this..... I'm using Superior Drummer but I love the interface on this and that host feature looks great. Great video again.

Hi Kenny! First off, thank you for all the tutorials. They ALL have been immensely helpful on learning Reaper. One question I have that I have been having trouble finding is how to record the midi and have it record the midi notes to the grid. I understanding being on time with the metronome can be a factor, but even when I just hit the snare to the metronome the midi notes are always off. Currently using a Yamah DTX502 electronic kit, Clarrett 18i20, and the block size in Reaper is set to 64 for e-kit tracking. My biggest issue is that the quantize function gets confused with some of our full drum parts, and manually adjust every note is incredibly time consuming. What else can I do to fix this issue? Thanks!!

Why is my user interface having the FX interface around it, I know it's gotta be a stupid question.

I downloaded the plugin.
What do I have to do to get it to appear in my VST effects list?
This has been driving me insane

I’m quite interested to know how to center the vertical line when playing the tracks.
Thanks.

Thanks Kenny for your great Video. When I open this plug in in Reaper I see the drum set but there are no "Kit Present" as you have with"Deluxe2" and so on. What could be the problem here?

This video implies that SSD 5.5 is already contained in Reaper. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm beyond tired of opening new accounts just for a supposed free plugin.

This is a great tutorial. SSD 5.5 is a really good plug-in too, even though it's free. It's sounds great and it's well worth using for most projects, unless you're at pro level doing film scores etc.

Hey man. Thanks for the content and help. Question: So right now I'm using slate drums in reaper and learned how to single out the drum outputs so I could control the volume of each one. But the problem i'm having is trying to figure how to get each one to have its own midi track when I play. For example: I have one midi track with the midi drum beat but i want to be able to single out the kick/ snare/ etc on its own track to mix it. Is there a faster way to do it instead of copying the full midi drum track, pasting it in the KICK drum track, and deleting everything else other than the kick? I hope that all made sense. Any assistance helps. Thank you!

Reaper is not finding the plugin where I sent the downloaded content to in the specified folder. I've tried rescanning for plugins, installing the plugin manually through preferences. I've put the plugin file in other folders, to my desktop, and Reaper still cannot find or open it up with my VST's or VSTi's. I'm on a 64 bit Windows 10 system, and have the ASIO 4 All driver installed. Other drum plugins I've downloaded work just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Re-watching this video again because,,, I am baffled.~ You get to the point where you select a drum kit then you go straight to the song recording with preprogrammed drums. Seems to me there are a lot of steps in between. Like, reducing the latency prior to using an external controller, or, are you actually recording a sequence that has already been created for this demo? Perhaps a detailed explanation as to how you get the midi SSD 5 to respond with suitably low latency so the drums can be, as I think your video implies by not showing your hand striking key to demonstrate the latency aspect,,,, so the drums can be manipulated in real time to create your own rhythms. ~ Without this information, which I understand requires some mention of differences in PC/Mac latency and system requirements,,, Honestly, as a pc guy with all usb 2 devices, this information is pointless if the dots don't all connect. Humbly,,, thanx!
