jayce is one of the few champs that actually interests me but he is just too hard.
there's a few combos like melee form e, aa that you have to know, to be able to do actual damage and i just couldn't do it consistently.

i'm not sure if the jax stun blocked it but if he used aa in the knockback at lvl 4, the jax would have died there.
it's the little things like that with this champ that completely changes him

I feel like illaoi is one of the best counters for Jax. If he jumps on you just land E for free and one shot him.

@AloisNL Just a tip for jayces Q E ranged combo. Most Jayce one tricks will aim and fire Q and then quickly pull the cursor back to their character. You might find more success this way as opposed to trying to drop the gate first and then aim.

I actually used Jayce to get to diamond back when he was literally broken because his gate would cause the game to lag for everyone. I was used to it at that point so it gave me unfair advantage lol
