It is rightly said that if you aren’t aware of your history, you aren’t in a position to live your future. This is true both on a national and individual level.

The importance of knowing and drawing lessons from history can’t be over-emphasized as The Holy Quran itself emphasizes the importance of history by detailing the past of various nations, urging us to learn from their mistakes to avoid the same fate.

The creation of Pakistan was the result of the struggle and vision of leaders like Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam, who united the people and gave them a new destiny.

However, after Quaid-e-Azam's death, subsequent political regimes led to a loss of direction, resulting in the current situation. Despite this, Pakistan experienced significant progress during the times of Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan and Gen. Zia Ul Haq.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of historical knowledge and the perpetuation of a corrupt political structure, their contributions are often downplayed, but history cannot be changed. It is deeply unjust that while we continue to benefit today from the great projects initiated and completed during the periods of Ayub Khan and Zia Ul Haq, we simultaneously condemn those eras as dark ages. In reality, the true dark periods of our progress have been under the regimes of various political leaders.
