I had a tiny, tiny crush on Talia and was sooooo heartbroken later :-)
ОтветитьWhen I first watched this scene I thought humoursly to myself that Kosh and Abbot are playing Mornington Crescent between themselves and no wonder Talia isn't following it as she obviously doesn't know the rules.
Ответить🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤢🤮💩👎 Ez egy nagy fos...
Ответить👍👍👍❤❤❤
ОтветитьI'm not Eugene lindley
ОтветитьI wonder what JMS had in mind with this.
I have toyed with the idea that Talia's original personality and memories up to this episode were restored during the Telegraph Wars, then she and Susan began a romantic relationship that helped Susan heal after Marcus's death.
What ever happened to good story telling like this???
ОтветитьCrab Nebula ( Shadows Ships and homeworld space)
ОтветитьWhy does he need her Vorlons are about level 2000 paths no?
ОтветитьNice wow
ОтветитьThe three edged sword in this case: Talia had a programmed alt personality placed in during psycorps brainwashing and the Talia personality would be lost if the other personality took over. Kosh could not tell her the truth of what he was doing with Abet as that would have caused the alt personality to take over and Talia's personality to be erased. Instead Kosh and Abet went about scanning and logging Talia's personality via the seemingly nonsensical convos. Her first scanning of Abet was the first step, as a form of "baseline". It is sad that the actress who played Talia stepped away from her role before the meaning behind this all came to fruition. Kosh really was trying to save Talia from psycorps and was one of many times Kosh would have been considered "meddling" by his people.
Ответить1 сезон
ОтветитьCrab happy. Sounds like Shadows are not in on the action yet.
ОтветитьPsi Corps rating 23? Does that make Abbut one of the Vorlon's lesser WMDs, not quite as potent as Lyta?
23 is a reference to Robert Anton Wilson: 23 as sacred to Eris, goddess of chaos, discord, and confusion.
Abbut was played by Harlan Ellison, the Great Maker's dark advisor.
Troll Kosh is best Kosh.
ОтветитьThis episode showed an angry N’atoth the aide to embassador G’kar attacking a lady calling her death walker. We later find out that indeed that death walker was a mass murder of millions of people in experiments reminiscent of the nazi doctor that did the same back in WW2 to prisoners of war. At the end she feels like she won because everyone was trying to get her to share her work, even though it came at the price of millions of souls. It was earth that was going to get her with the understanding that humans were going to share her work with everyone a Vorlon ship appears and blows her transport before it reaches the jump gate. On the bridge of the station, everyone is perplexed by what just happened. Sheridan turns and see Kosh who is by the door and Sheridan asks “why?” To which Kosh only says “you are not ready.”
ОтветитьDude's dressed like one of those PUA guys.
ОтветитьI find it ridiculous how her becoming boyfriend couldn't figure out she was a sleeper agent.
ОтветитьVorlons bred telepathy in the races so they could use them as weapons against the Shadows. Shadows made secret deals with telepathic races such as humans to use telepaths in their ships. Even latent telepaths could be used.
ОтветитьKotesh backup reporting, we are all one in the eyes off the univese.
ОтветитьI have never understood that scene. The Vorlons were suppose to have telepathic and psionic abilities. Why use the woman?
ОтветитьWhy does Kosh need a telepath?
ОтветитьI want that hat.
ОтветитьI really think by the look on her face - he had thoughts but they were about her and what he wanted to do.
ОтветитьWhy does the Vicar Abbut remind me of Sophia, Dorothy's mom from Golden Girls?
ОтветитьTo bad they never were able to develop the reason Kosh did this.
Ответитьfaustolg what are you even saying, quite the opposite is true. Vorlons not only like telepaths, but they genetically manipulated certain races so they'd gain telepaths that could be used as weapons against shadow vessels.
ОтветитьSweet! The Death walker episode! :) Thank you!
ОтветитьHis balls finally dropped after saving Sheridan :)
ОтветитьKosh's voice got deeper
ОтветитьHer loss, to be honest.
ОтветитьShadows and Vorlons and Telepaths oh my!! :D
Ответить@Jokie155 It was meant as revelation for Sheridan. Understanding is a three edged sword... your version, their version... and the Truth!

Ответить@Jokie155 It was not even the first time Sheridan mentioned it either. He also mentioned it when trying to convince Kosh to get the Vorlons to attack the Shadows directly. But yeah, when and how he heard it was left strangely unanswered.
ОтветитьCrab............................. nebula.
ОтветитьHas anyone else wondered why we never saw Kosh or Talia tell Sheridan that 'Understanding is a three-edged sword'? They expand on it at the end of the Shadow War but we never see it. Surely JMS would have done something to fix that.
Ответить@jamessavik What good is music if one expects the strings to obey the notes?
ОтветитьBabylon 5 was a very smart Sci-Fi show, way more than Star Trek!
ОтветитьThese scenes with Abbot made no sense at first view and were later "explained" in the episode Divided Loyalties. This is what made Babylon 5 an outstanding show
Ответитьthank you
Ответитьi think this is a first season episode.
Ответитьwhat epsode is this from
ОтветитьLol, to a Vorlon everybody is easy to defeat. They were the ones who created most of the telepaths.
ОтветитьUm...the Vorlons are the ones who created the telepaths. I think you are thinking of the Shadows they found themselves to be one of the only races not to have this ability and were jealous of the other First Ones. This contributed to the other wars before the Shadow War in the B5 universe. What Aldecoraziel told me was fairly acurate, but what you said wouldn't even explain why the Vorlons enhanced Leta Alexander.
ОтветитьThank you I've been wondering about that for over a decade now! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьYes. It was planned that Talia Winters would have become reprogrammed anyway, and to make her normal again, the data-crystal of the Vicar would provide her original memory. It just happens that the actress didn't want to remain in the show, so they sticked with the orginal telepath. :)
