All the water is coming down, from Gavin’s point dam, James river, Vermillion river, Big Sioux river, and the little Sioux river.

James river and vermillion river are still in major flood stages and there’s so much water behind the Gavin’s point dam they can’t shut it down anymore

Overall, the data suggests that the first half of 2024 has been worse in terms of flooding compared to the same period in 2023, with higher global precipitation levels and more frequent and severe flood events driven by persistent El Niño conditions and the ongoing impact of climate change.

Seems like climate change might be real after all.

Sadly, not a surprise considering all the flooding to the north that is working its way south. Hope the water recedes soon.
