On the other hand there are too less variations from Medvedev....big serve, but then he plays on the baseline.....running from one corner to the other....plays very seldom slice. The slice is the most underrated stroke and it is not understandable why there are so many professionals who don't play it. Didn't they watch Federer, Nadal? The variation wins the game......or let's state also Edberg, Sampras, wawrinka, gasquet.....

Actually grigor should win much more on the atp Tour ....great style, someone who plays a very good slice, he can play serve and volley, great variations in his game. Wonderful backhand down the line.....basically a player who has no weaknesses, maybe his head sometimes.....I would wish that he win much more.....

I have the feeling that Dimitrov has changed something about his forehand technique...

Even tho I like Med,he deserved to lose also because of his behavior ..he need to change because this now start to be too much...something that Grigor doesn't have because he is way away from those stupid things..well done Dimi, go for it🙌🙌

Very happy for dimitrov sucha fine player but not the mental grit to win slams or big titles consistently. If only he had it results would be different. Hope he gets some big titles he is playing well at the moment and time is running out for him. For meddy he really needs to figure out what is wrong he doesnt seem to be playing badly and losing all these closly fought matches he really needs to mix and up his playing style baseline rallies hoping to tire the opponent can only work for so long good luck meddy hope he gets back his us open win form soon

Grigor looking like he was limping a bit at the beginning of these highlights, looked really worn out, but it's great that he pulled it through against a top class player who is especially tough to beat on hard courts!!

Medvedev is the most boring player ever. He only stands behind the baseline. His opponent have 2 options, outlast him on the baseline or go to the net.

Medvedev is a sore loser, and isn't trying to win a popularity contest.

That first game in the video is by far the worst I've seen in a while.
9/10 Dimitrov's hits are in the service zone. A serious player in good form would punish that, but seems Medvedev isn't that at the season's end.

Against complete players like Federer or Dimitrov today, Medvedev is not deciding the game. He is very limited with his horrible technique and monoton game. He is playing the ball back from 4 meters behind the baseline. If you take him out of his comfortzone and force him „to play“, then itbis over!

This is a weird court. So slow, not just the ball, but the movements also.

While effective, I don't love watching Med. His movements just seems a little shy of graceful. Dimi, on the other hand, is a delight.
