Vincent Price brought acting into the master class he’s a legend, for good reason, everything he touched turned to Gold. As a 47 year old I was first introduced to him through his contribution to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ album. And I continue to seek out each and every film of his that I can find. Another splendid film. Kudos to everyone involved in this production! Thanks for sharing Cult Cinema!!!

I don’t know if back in those days they had such thing as a crime of passion, but that’s exactly what happened in the case of Dr. Cross. I feel bad for him and I can’t stand his girlfriend! Lol this is the third time to watch this movie I’ve always liked it.

Un Thriller del Cine Negro Terror Un hermoso clasico, digno de verlo. Pelicula sencilla, de poco presupuesto que sabe mantener el interes del expectador hasta el final. No es una obra de arete, pero es imperdible con su mezcla de situaciones de asesinatos, enfermedad, astucia, locura, con dosis de suspenso, todo bien logrado.

Vincent Price is one of my fave male actors from classic Hollywood. His voice has to be one of the best "voices" in cinema, then or now. How perfect it was for all those horror movies he made. Then his long and face with slightly sunken eyes easily lent themselves to a very creepy look with all the other atmospheric elements, music, sound, makeup & costuming woven into horror films. Of course, Price was a very skilled actor and could put himself believably into whatever character he needed to be.

Its Vinnie years before he found his niche in horror. 😮

Love Vincent Price in the older film noir movies (like "Laura" and "Leave Her to Heaven"), better than later when he did a lot of the campy "horror" movies, which he made kind of funny.

The 1st time I’d ever heard of Vincent Price was in Michael Jackson’s Thriller

Good old days before the you know whats took over.

Le film de Alfred L. Werker commence comme un film dramatique, traitant de la difficile réadaptation d’après Guerre mais vu du côté de ceux qui attendent le retour de soldats. En l’occurrence, une femme atteinte de fragilité mentale, son mari ayant été considéré comme mort, puis tardant à revenir…
Et très vite, le film ne va pas se focaliser sur cette brave jeune femme, gravement traumatisée par un meurtre conjugal dont elle a été témoin. Étant hospitalisée pendant toute l’histoire, l’intrigue va bifurquer sur le meurtrier (devenu, ironie, son médecin), ainsi que sur les états d’âme de ce dernier, alors qu’il va renier de plus en plus ses principes pour mieux cacher ses crimes. Bien influencé en cela par son amante, perfide calculatrice.
Où comment des femmes peuvent devenir les instigatrices de la souffrance qu’on peut infliger à d’autres femmes.
