In this series of videos I will slowly take you through all the steps you will need to make a real silver fingerprint necklace using a magical clay/like material called silver clay.

You don’t need to make make a fingerprint necklace. You can use the videos to make a fingerprint charm or a bigger pendant or key ring with 2, 3 or more fingerprints.

I will cover all of the tools and materials you will need to use, including advice on the best type of silver clay to use at your own kitchen table.

I’ve included as many tips and tricks as I could think of and I have suggested alternatives for many of the professional pieces of equipment you see me use over on the blog.

By the end of the videos you will be able to add any fingerprint from an adult or a child and add it to your very own silver necklace.

You can make a gift for a special someone or make yourself a personalised keepsake.

I will show you how to take a finger impression directly into a piece of rolled out silver clay.

I will also show you how to take a mould of a fingerprint using silicone impression material, how to make a reverse mould of that fingerprint and then how to press that moulded fingerprint into a small piece of silver clay.

- This completely eliminates wiggly and slightly uncooperative small people from your creative making process.

Today, I will use a heart shaped cutter to make the heart shaped fingerprint necklace you see in the video, but you can make just about any shape that you want.
