Great 👍 Gerry just one of the best most talented dobro players in the world and yes you have reiterated using other musicians licks but to offer and teach theses is a blessing .👏
ОтветитьThanks for the chops Mr. Douglas
ОтветитьWow! Thanks, Jerry. I have enough guitars to use one in Dobro tuning and try out these riffs for the first time - ever. I discovered your Slide Rule album years ago and that's when i learned about you.
ОтветитьHi my name is Dennis Fain. I am trying to learn how to play that steel no bro no bro anyway are they any? I know their books and some books of Bluegrass and country music using that but what I want to know I know you’re breaking it down to 4 foot threats and white strings to play. Thank you videos I would like to have a note, chart and white strings to play if there’s one out there somewhere or if someone can make one I would appreciate it very much to send it to me
ОтветитьHonestly, I love this guy.
ОтветитьJerry: Thanks for sharing this pure gold. Between your crystal clear how-to and some recent encouragement from Tommy E, I detect a new purpose coming on here. Gotta Dobro up and git twangin'. 😎
Ответить"throwing the bar" right? I learned using a peddle steel bar, I think weighed 2 lbs 🤔
ОтветитьOne of my favorite musicians, not just for ear and touch and the music itself, but for how well your playing always fits with others. Thanks for the licks rundown.
ОтветитьInteresting looking whammy bar. Does that raise and lower all strings like a Bigsby, or individual strings.?
ОтветитьYou are such a legend Mr.Douglas!!! God bless!
ОтветитьIs that a bending mechanism on the tailpiece of your dobro?
ОтветитьThanks Mr. Douglas for the classic lick lessons!
You are the coolest!!
El mejor músico profesional de Guitar Dobro, un día espero poder verle tocar en vivo... Disfruto verle tocar junto a Sam Bush, Bela Fleck y la leyenda Tony Rice. God bless you.
Un saludo desde El Salvador
Thanks Jerry!
I'm looking at playing Dobro.
This is encouraging.
Todd
I was in a long drive last weekend listening to Tony Rice and co. playing Freeborn Man and thought, man I gotta cop some Jerry Douglas licks. Not a dobro player but no matter!
ОтветитьI don't know how I got this far without seeing your channel but I'm on board now. I'm enjoying your JD Aura Imaging pedal (I love it - every reso player I talked to recommended it) and looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks, TW
ОтветитьJerry... I’ve already lost 2 tone bars with that Josh Graves lick... thank you buddy.
ОтветитьThank you for all the times i sat and listenedJerry
ОтветитьNot a player myself, but still fascinating to see how some of this great music is made.
ОтветитьLike hangin' out with you at the bar...
ОтветитьJerry, nice to meet you !!!
ОтветитьLearning from the master. Thank you JD.
