Neighborhoods in Manhattan Kansas | What You Need to Know

Great information for people that don't know that area at all & are trying to learn the neighborhoods!

I lived on Stagg Hill 1976-78. Loved it there! Went to Theodore Roosevelt Elementary. We had so much fun back then. Great memories. I have often thought about moving back and buying my childhood home on Allison Ave. ;-) I hope someone can give me an update on that area around Allison and Dondee. It was a great neighborhood to grow up in long ago. At that time our home was a new build. It was only a year old and the basement wasn't finished then. My classmates would run up the hill to Dehoff and ride their dirt bikes since most of the homes were still being built behind my friends house on that side. In fact I think my classmates dad actually built their home on Dehoff. There were dirt bike trails we would take the motor cycles on. Riding bikes and skateboarding was safe back then too. I don't remember any noise from Ft. Riley. Maybe the noise doesn't reach that section, but I don't really remember. It would be a bit of an issue for me now. Lol! But if it's not too bad, that might be okay. I am still considering buying it if it ever comes up for sale, but it would be nice to hear from locals how the neighborhood is these days. ;-)
