I did it, just exactly as you say at the first sign of hair loss, I shaved everything off. Now I'm letting them grow again and find that it actually isn't as bad as I thought. So I'm really allowed to say, you are 100% RIGHT. The problem is, I don't believe that if I had watched this before shaving it would have stopped me somehow... I don't know why but sometimes people just need to face things on their own. Maybe a "show, don't tell" thing could be better.

If you don't treat a cavity, you can get serious infections and even die from it! If you don't do anything about your hair loss, no big deal! I am thining on crown and I'm early 40s, last thing I'm going to do is add chemicals to block the natured falling out of my hair. Accept that balding is as natural as growing old, and if it really bothers you shave your head. Both these options are scientifically proven to be 100% safe😂

Yeah, rogain did nothing for me - absolutely nothing - and when I stopped using it, nothing changed either. I didn't see any change before, during or after. Took it for a whole year. Maybe that wasn't long enough but it just seemed to be a waste of time for me.

You need to tell your audience to take Finasteride every day as well because you are neglecting the main culprit of Hairloss, DHT. Minoxidil is the boost, Finasteride is the Block. And you can take Minoxidil orally as well. Its more efficient than topical Minoxidil. I am using Dutasteride and oral Minoxidil, and Im 67.

You have to have a head that suits a shaved head. And it's better to have a short cut when using minoxidil as you get more bang for your buck; since more penetrates through without obstruction of a longer hair style.

He never once talked about a dht blocker, without one you'll never stabilize the hairloss. Minoxidil can help thicken and grow existing hair, but it won't stop the miniaturization process from the dht in your scalp, you'll continue to thin and lose hair. I for one have been on 1mg of Finsteride daily for 2 years now with no sides effects and I've been able to stop my balding and actually regrow a bit of hair. I also added minoxidil (Rogaine) after the first year and got even more thickness. You wouldn't even know I'm balding right now.

I have male pattern baldness that began when I was 17. I could sit in my bedroom and cry in my bedroom about my hair loss. I started taking Dutasteride and it fixed the problem. It blew me and my Mum away how much hair I regrew. My hairline went from looking pretty bad to being as good as my sisters. I'm so glad I did my research and fought it, and gained my confidence back. Other people just don't understand how much hair loss can affect your self-confidence.

Shouldn't we treat the root cause which is the DHT sensitivity of our scalp? Like using scalp DHT blocker.

At the first sign of going bald, I didn’t shave it. I went and got topical finasteride and minoxidil. Stopped the hair loss in its tracks and went back to NW1 in 6 months. DHT continues to damage the hair follicles even after they stop growing visible hair, so if you’re going to do fin, it’s best to do it early. I think it was easy for me to recognize that it was happening because I have some scars on the top of my head that are normally easy to cover with hair. When the balding started, I could see them through the hair. Once the fin/min started working, the scars got buried under my hair. If you wait to long, the follicles die completely and the only way to bring them back is with transplants.
