Australia IS better than Europe. I don't understand how you can agree or disagree to facts.
The food question is irrelevant, we have Bunnings snags so we win this round by default.
You should be afraid of the wildlife in Australia - the wildlife here can eat you, everyone is brave until you see the Salt water croc in the flood / disaster zone waiting to eat you while you evacuate.

The European foods we have in Australia are totally down to the migrants and their descendants who have chosen to prepare it for us. The Italian restaurants are my personal favourites and I know where to find the good ones around me as well as in Adelaide, but those restaurants are owned by Italian migrants and their adult children, who have lived here for an entire generation, so time can also impact their cooking style as well as the region of Italy they came from. All of these comparisons are out of balance due to basic geography. If Australia was part of Europe, our food would be very different also, but our proximity to Asia means we get a lot more Asian influence than Europe does. Just like the US has great Mexican food because Mexico is on their border.

So I agree with your answers! Comparing one country to the many countries of Europe isn’t a true comparison.

The dangerous animals live outdoors, so if you go bushwalking or lose your mind and go into the outback untrained and unprepared, or if you camp near a river in the Top End, you can expect to risk your life. Our deadliest snake, the Australian Taipan, lives in the outback far from humans, so if a taipan kills you, it’s your own fault. Don’t bother the wildlife and it won’t bother you. Most importantly, if you see a snake, DO NOT KILL IT! Avoid it and call the Wildlife authority to come and remove it. If you kill a snake in Australia, you will be in trouble because they are protected, due to their role in controlling rodent populations from reaching plague proportions and other things that help maintain our natural balance. Without predators, things can run amok very quickly. Just avoid them yourself and you’ll be fine.

Notice to tourists in Australia: Do not swim at ocean beaches where there are no Lifeguards. They are watching everything from higher up and will sound the shark siren if you need to get out of the water. The lifeguards are also there to watch the ocean currents and position the red and yellow flags to tell you where it’s safe to swim. Waves roll in from the ocean but the water then has to flow back out to the ocean. Water coming in Versus water flowing out, causes very strong currents that can carry you far from the shore and the further out you are, the harder you are to see and the longer it takes for them to reach you. So ALWAYS swim between the flags. And people, if you can’t swim, don’t go into the surf above your ankles! Learn to swim and stick to a swimming pool.

Come to Adelaide. Better culture, more relaxed people, less gym junkies and snobs, better night life, cost of living is better and cheaper alcohol lol.

Aussies are into comfortable clothing that’s practical and looks reasonable. We have to dress more formally for work, depending on the jobs we have, but come the weekend and we like to have fun so we go comfortable and blingy and party with friends. There’s a percentage of Australians who like to buy expensive clothes and look fabulous, but I think the vast majority aren’t so fashion oriented, because we can think for ourselves and don’t need designers dictating what we should be wearing instead. If we want to dress up, we can, we just choose to do it our way, Aussie style.

You can’t say a British accent is sexy if you like the way Londoners speak. The rest of Britain has different accents as you go from one area to the next, eg Liverpool, Cornwall, York, etc.

There are no jungles in the outback, nor any water, you wouldn’t last twelve hours out there by yourself. They’d discover your bones a year later!

Aussies do, indeed, grab a bottle of wine and sit and talk all night! We just start out at a restaurant and then continue it at home. If you miss it, make it happen, be the instigator! You want friends in Sydney? Start a conversation and let us follow your lead!

So, we are competing with ALL OF EUROPE - hardly seems fair, right?😅 I think Sydney is an awesome city, but there are things we could probably improve on 😎I have fixed the Italian cuisine problem - my father has Italian ancestry & he is a fantastic cook 😊Strangely enough, the aussie accent was voted 3rd sexy in the world 😅

HAHHAH, that “WUDAH” was said perfectly. That made me laugh pretty hard.

Also the animal question is difficult, especially for tourist. So I’ll say this for anyone reading, mostly everything can actually kill you, but you shouldn’t be worried. Just research, going camping? Look up what what animals/bugs are common in that particular area you’re going too. Familiarise yourself with how the deadly ones look. That way when you encounter any, you’ll be mentally prepared.
Just be smart about it, it sounds like common sense, but the amount of people who underestimate kangaroos is worrying, as cute as they are, don’t approach it…

Comparing one country (Australia) against fifty countries is a little insane but ok😂.
If we are going to do that, then Europe has as many shark attacks each year as Australia.
It's not bad if you take into account that we nearly have 12,000 beaches 😊

Authentic is available IF you know the right places to go.
We have China Town (oldest in the world), Little Italy, Greek Quarter as well as certain suburbs specialise in things like Indian, Thai and German Food. Need to search first and read the Reviews. Melbourne is more cultured than any City in Australia but all have lovable aspects that you don't find anywhere in the world. 🇦🇺

Sydney the best city??? WTF.. How many cities have you been to; only Melbourne and Sydney?
There are hundreds of cities in Australia that beat Sydney hands down for so many reasons! Traffic, Weather, Cost, etc.. the list is endless. Visit Tassie, WA & SA and you will agree😉
But yes.. Sydney is better than Melbourne 👍🏼

I think the comment about “why would you add someone to your group that you do t know if they’ll still be here” is a bit sad really. I have friends from all over the world, all across Europe, South America, North America, UK. Some from my local football club, many worked at bars I used to go to. All of us still stay in touch. I’d love to get to visit some of them too some day! ❤

Europeans and the British always compare . When I went overseas I noticed differences but they never bothered me . I am not keen on rock and water beaches though . I rather have beautiful sand stuck between my toes . I am not a coffee drinker so I can’t make a judgement You find fat people in my area lol . Enjoy your stay in Australia .

Wherever the climate is colder, the fashion is better. Somebody in a suit will always look better than someone in shorts and t-shirt. Just wait a few years - you'll be going out for drinks at night and even lunchtime sometimes. I'm not happy about you not finding it so easy to contact the locals. If I worked with you guys we'd go out for drinks or dinner sometimes. I'm sure it will happen more for you.
